BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1230 ko) There must be a bookmaker that’s offering odds of 7 to 2. But in whose favour? Easier asked than answered, because Spurs are a shadow their last season selves and it’s genuinely difficult to predict their games. Will they react, as Man City did after their defeat to Norwich, with indignant revenge blasting their sails? The Seagulls will hope to capitalise on fragility in Tottenham minds, which should make for a cracking opener to today’s fixtures. The more so if the home side can get an early goal. Draw.
BURNLEY vs EVERTON Everton are another side that haven’t yet lived up to their potential. Wiley old Sean Dyche will see three points for the taking here. Which may push poor old Marco Silva closer to that familiar precipice. Home win.
LIVERPOOL vs LEICESTER CITY The stand-out game of the three o’clock kick-offs. Brendan Rodgers will be gagging for the chance to show Liverpool his true worth, and his team will be encouraged by the knowledge that the Reds have kept a clean sheet just twice so far this season. They will be less encouraged by their own single clean sheet. A game of tactics, quick breaks and high balls into the Liverpool box beckons. As does third place for us if we win and Leicester lose. Home win.
NORWICH CITY vs ASTON VILLA Norwich are again wracked by injuries and will field their third choice keeper today. Villa’s return to the big time hasn’t started well and they will be keen to avoid defeat to what could become relegation rivals. Expect attrition and goals. Home win.
WATFORD vs SHEFFIELD UNITED Two more potential candidates for the drop. Just what has happened to last year’s high-buzzing Hornets? Sheffield have earned plaudits for their attacking ethos and will hope for further dividends from that today. Draw.
WEST HAM UNITED vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1730 ko) Many people will have this down as a home banker, but will be wise not to underestimate a Palace side that’s just a point behind us. This is a potential banana skin, particularly with the ever-dependable Fabianski out. Zaha is an obvious threat and Kouyate and Tomkins, if they play, will want to mark their return in traditional fashion. We should be too strong for them both in midfield and up front. Yarmolenko is on a hattrick, but needs Anderson and Lanzini to support him. A captain’s game from Noble should help seal the points. Home win.

Carroll was just trying to keep him away and Fergus Jock McTominay threw himself on the ground and rolled around. Pathetic
Probably the worst Man U team since the days of Ashley Grimes. Great isn’t it? Hopefully Ole sticks around for years.

Exactly, if either Mane (especially) or Salah get injured, it's a whole different story. Wouldn't be anything like as good without their first choice FBs either. Surely can't be that lucky forever...?

Funnily enough I still think the Scousers can blow an 8pt lead. At the moment Salah, Mane & Firmino still seem able to play 60 games a season and NEVER get injured.

Never a penalty, every touch isn't a foul. The touch didn't make him propel into the air was a totally unatural movement from that contact.
