This Harry Dunn business, what do you make of it?
Firstly an absolute tragedy and we should remember that, the lady should have stayed in the UK and faced justice for which she probably would have got community service.

But what do you make of all this media scrum around his parents and the trip to the US?

Now she and her new husband are blaming the British Government? I understand that she wants justice for her son but this is not how you get it?

Is it all about the fame and money? Horrible thing to say but she is certainly revelling in the attention...or seems to be.

Upper Heyford was an odd base, considering it had nukes stored there. As it had a public highway running right through the middle of it.

I used to love watching the planes flying around there, but they were loud and can see why it would have annoyed the locals in the immediate area.

Croughton I think is a listening post/early warning station. Though not 100% on that. I've been on there a lot, but not near anything sensitive.

Comma, indeed that is so
I can also confirm that the very road has had several subsequent wrong side issues
The base is not staffed by grunts either, it is a non flight 'security' affair, so you would assume brighter than the average type

Thanks to the deal that lickspittle Blair struck with Dubya it is almost impossible for the UK to get an American citizen back to the UK for legal purposes.

Just down the road from me and a road i use regularly
I can see how it would have happened
The woman is not just a wife, she is apparently CIA and in a position of importance, the extradition laws are one way and the Yanks are not going to serve her up, I don't blame the parents but they are a tad quirky, but then again, they all are there
The locals have always had a strange attitude to the Yanks there, moaned like fuck about Upper Heyford flights, Americans in general and traffic then cried when they left and their pubs/eateries closed through lack of custom and their economy collapsed
On balance, strange local cunts, a tragic loss of life and a super power's intelligence agency
Call me a cynic, but there is only one outcome here

Maybe killing kids is regarded more of a pastime than a crime in the Good Ol' US of A.

Amendments of WHAT?

Bearing in mind that such trial would take place in Britain, and therefore is not subject to the US Constitution.

Good luck to them, fighting justice for your child, I would do the same, authorities should be made to pay for diplomatic shit against the public.

An unthinkable tragedy losing a child but like a lot of people nowadays this is now all about the money and I tell you now if they sue the government /Donald trump /America and win billions of pounds it ain’t gonna make them feel even the tiniest bit better

I don't think it's about money at all - what other course of action can they take? If no-one will do anything criminal, they're left with civil action - it's a way of getting her in court.

The fact she's a yank has nothing to do with it, it's the fact she has diplomatic immunity.
Agreed though, she should be bought to justice.

absolutely Cough, and there's no way on earth she should be able to avoid it because she's a yank.

Trundle, it was an accident but it was avoidable if she had driven on the right side of the road, there has to be consequences

This was reported on the other day. Kid high on drugs, mows down and kills 2 people using his dads car and doesn't go to jail.

For those seeking justice for him, what exactly are you expecting to happen? It was an accident.

Nothing would happen to her if she was to be found guilty. She certainly wouldn't go in the nick over it.

This is about the money.

Can the woman not be tried in absentia, be found guilty and then have an international arrest warrant places on her that restricts her movement
