TERRY browN kept his books.

couldnt keep us up.
regularly listened to our star player.
couldnt keep any credibility,
couldnt keep our best young players.
dived the other way, blamed his employees.

kept the money

and became honorary life president.

at least Roberto with all his faults is honest and turns up.

If Anang plays ... I wish him well and we need a change ... but if this happens what are the terms of Martin’s contract as a training ground shot stopper ???

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
There's a reason for our famous inconsistency.

One of the best, or even the best, keeper in the Premiership as our first choice, and the worst keeper ever to play in the Premiership as our second is just typical for us as a club.

Even when we have quality, it's backed up by dross.

I guess its what happens when you have a budget of a zero for a goalkeeper?

Mind you we must have got the most soiled item in the goal keeper bargain bucket over the summer. Can only be he was recommended by a Hussilos or Pellegrini's connectiion, friend or whatever? Perhaps there was a kick back from the agent?

TBF I am actually in awe of Roberto's agent. How he has kept him in employment at the top level of the game is highly impressive. A miracle really?

Martin should’ve been in 3 games ago at least when we all knew Roberto’s confidence was shot to shit. Piss poor from Pellegrini.

Sadly YES. Many times. And that tells you all you need to know.

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
He was never more than a bang average keeper in Spain...at best. Nobody really rated him. Husillos is serving Sullivan's own arse to him on a plate.

A few years ago he stepped up from reserve and played for Atletico Madrid in a champions League game -- could have been a German team but I can't quite remember.

He had an absolute shit show and I think they were 4-0 down at half time.

Pretty sure that happened...Marca ripped him a new one the next day

Was reading an old sun from a few days ago on the train home tonight and good to see he got an honourable mention of being the worst keeper to have ever played in the prem.

Sadly you cant argue with the statement.

Have to laugh that we've gone from arguably the best keeper in the league over the past 2 seasons to this idiot.

ChecyIan,

So who are the 40 Premier League keepers you are referring to then?

This bloke will cost the manager his job, or will help him trouser a good fucking payoff, depending how you look at it.

Goalkeeping coach worked on his "cat reaction" rather.

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
Looking at him (if we must), he seems to have a delayed reaction when he attempts to carry out a diving save. Makes me wonder if the goalkeeping has worked on his "cat reaction" techinqiues- something that Gordon Banks was trained on i.e. multiple shot saves on the ground and in the air.

As an alternative may be we should look at Viviano. He on a free, he once trained along side Fabinsski when they were in the Arse'. Plus being an ex Italian international he would leant a thing or two from Buffon, which is not a bad thing.

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
I am sure he is a decent guy, and im as guilty as anyone for getting on his back,my son said to me in pre season seeing him against man city that he was not up to it,i said to mates who support other teams when we were playing well that the 3 players we could not afford to get injured were fabianski, rice or haller(at that time)then fab gets injured,im hearing roberto was a decent keeper 6 years ago,but he is a bigger disaster than i thought he was,he misjudges crosses at an alarming rate, punches balls that should be caught,is slow to react, does not command the box.
Now if as a fan i can spot these weaknesses i have to question pellegrinis judgement, unless of course martin is even worse(surely he cant be can he ?)
The worrying thing is other teams will now be targeting applying pressure on our keeper.
This has added to the defence having a lack of confidence.
Roberto is a human being, his confidence will be shot to bits, personally id pay up his contract as soon as we can sign another keeper or recall trott.
He has no future at west ham and if he insists on playing him neither does pellegrini who i am amazed is still in the job today.

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
I have and always willing back our players, takes a lot for me to dig someone out but.....

this guy has put in three of the worse performances I have seen from a hammers keepers. He is terrible at crosses, he punches for no reason, fails to move for too many goals and is giving zero confidence to our defence.

As the bbc stream said, it is like his hands are made from feathers.

Must have been a decent keeper in his day but now, absolutely fucked

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
A Dreadful keeper, I havent ever seen anything like him at this level even the Blind Venetian, disgraceful keeping him in the side, is he related or an in-law of MP or what?, Martin and Anang could not possibly be that bad. He cannot start against Chelsea. Does no one at the club read these threads? Everybody cant be wrong about this clown

Re: roberto have we had a worse keeper than this guy ?
Anybody trying to excuse this guy because he has made one or two saves he should be making must be smoking crack.

This guy is an IMPOSTER. There is definitely something not right here, whether it be back handers or whatever. This guy has never been a Premier League standard goalkeeper.

The question that really needs to be raised is - How bad must David Martin be to be kept out of the side by this guy?

I cant remember a keeper this bad for the life of me since I've been watching football nearly 30 odd years
