Pellegrini Out
Had to be done sooner or later. I'm afraid our owners will keep it later to save some pounds.

I applauded him coming in, and to be honest, have really tried to play football after a couple horrendous years under bfs and Moyes.

But now, he seems lost. I don't believe is the manager to get the most out of our players anymore.

What about you? In or Out?

Just looking at the 'team of the decade' thread and realised that no manager can be successful with our board in charge. They will never invest properly.

Steven Gerard would be a gamble but if your talking up and coming managers with something to prove he fits that bill

In hindsight, I'm regretting us letting Bilic go. He's doing a great job at WBA.

Managers are too dispensible nowadays.

Agree about Anceolotti Sidney, we should be aiming for someone younger who can speak at least almost fluid English

Re: Pellegrini Out
Ancellotti is also in the same mould as the current past there best manager...........No thanks.

We need a younger up and coming bloke not a has been in the last few years of his career.

Although like Harry, could maybe fill in until the end of the season and do enough to keep us afloat in the PL, but that aint going to happen.

Re: Pellegrini Out
Both Everton and Arsenal keen on Ancellotti according to the media, if you were him and also threw West Ham into the mix, what chance would you give us? Close to fuck all is my guess, both those clubs are better run and have more appeal than the sorry state West Ham are currently in.

Tnb

Yes I saw that and it was mentioned by the commentators. They obviously forgot to charge the iPad or they should just get a mile length lead to stretch from the bench to the touch line.

The whole club is Piss poor and has been since and before they took over.

Was watching on TV last night and when Masuaku came on the assistant manager was showing him instructions on his phone.

Fucking amateur from top to bottom.

Daniel Farke is who they should be targeting, right age, ambitious, improves players, has a team playing well above their level and great in the transfer market.

Re: Pellegrini Out
Id under no circumstances take Moyes because it would label us as moving backwards not forwards which would be seen by everyone.

They attempted the right thing going for Pellegrini...they need to be more daring in their next appointment by looking for a manager on the way up in the game!

Re: Pellegrini Out
Their template for a new manager should be Pochettino when Southampton took him on.

They will of course use their usual template of an old stager on the way down who's seen it, done it, doesnt give much of a Fuck anymore, and who's cheap, incentivised by a big survival clause.

You know what, I would take Moyes right now but he won't come after the way the 3 Stooges discarded him

Re: Pellegrini Out
Conventional wisdom seems to dictate that letting a manager start from the beginning of a new season with a pre season in place etc is always the best thing.

I kind of think that wrong. Learning about your squad under the adversity of a relegation scrap or an underperforming team seems way better.

That’s why the logic of seeing if MP manages to keep us up this season makes no sense. Most managers should manage to keep this squad up. Anyone that can get this squad of players relegated is really really bad at their job.

I think get a new guy in ASAP and let him see what characters we have here and who is up for it or not. And then deciding how to go in the summer in terms of transfers is much easier.

I feel like Solskjaer at United worked out the strategy of getting youth that really want to succeed instead of getting established European players is going to work out for that club long term. We need someone to come in right now and do that type of assessment.

MP’s project will always lead to nowhere.

Wouldn't surprise me for a minute. I posted on the match thread that it looked like he'd lost the dressing room. Yesterday was the first time I felt like that.

Re: Pellegrini Out
There’s no ‘bottom 3’ clause in his contract.

I believe his compo limits at 1 years worth of money though.
