GTHC Predicts, Burnley Away
Well thank fuck for that, he has predicted a loss! Think the last few games we have been dog shit he has had us down to win........the curse is off.

I just hope we can get our season back on track, the manager and team need a good kick up the arse, have a gut feeling this game we will be well up for, so 3-1 to West Ham, COYI.

Both of these sides are in poor form - Burnley have lost their past three league games, while West Ham are on a run of five without a win.

I was surprised to see Burnley get a shellacking, by their standards, at Sheffield United last weekend - and I bet training has been fun with Clarets boss Sean Dyche since then.

The Hammers also had a bad day in their 3-2 defeat by Newcastle, and could easily have ended up on the wrong end of a far bigger scoreline.

Both teams will be looking to make a big improvement, but it is Burnley I am backing here.

They don't normally go too long without a win because they are capable of putting in a really gritty performance, and I am expecting them to have a go at West Ham.

Lawro's prediction: 2-0

The problem is, I'm not sure that what ails us can be so easily fixed. Well not the way things are at present. When you read Jonjo Shelvey pointing out just one of our defensive failings - blatantly apparent to anyone who watches us play even occasionally - and how Steve fucking Bruce had his team target this, you know you're in trouble. Burnley are just the type of team to do exactly the same.

I hope that tongue in cheek, otherwise it is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard in here and that’s saying something!

If we don't put in a gutsy performance and win this there is definitely a problem and we'll be in a relegation scrap by Christmas.

It's as if our players are coasting along to get their big pay packets rather than having passion for our club. That doesn't happen at Man City, Liverpool, Leicester, Bournemouth etc etc.

We've (nearly) always been a club that plays with guile but have lacked steel. Even with Lampard Sr and Bonds in the side we often got tonked.

I'm starting to sway toward the we need a new manager argument.

Mark Noble?

The key for me is the fact that both teams lost embarrassingly last weekend.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Sean Dyche will have made his feelings known all week long and they will not be an easy proposition this weekend. With us and MP, who knows. Every time I expect we will come out and silence the critics, so to speak, we end up looking even more disjointed and inept.

I make Lawro right on this one. I expect to see an improvement on the basis that we couldn't possibly be worse, but I cant see our defence and Roberto keeping a clean sheet nor our goal shy attack out scoring them.
