I'll be surprised if we stay up, I don't think the team has the same fight as the ones around them.

as opposed to having a chinwag 2 miles away from the stadium?

yeah that really made an impact.

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
You’re dead right.

Look at the transfer business, they actually aren’t very good at making money - in fact they usually do the complete opposite.

If you wanna make money get someone in to run the club for you, because all you’re good at is failing.

I did my protesting in the 90s against the bond scheme, I wouldn't go near that shit hole if you paid for the cab fare. there's 50k+ to protest, and that anyone can still be happy with anything the owners do is one of the universe's greatest mysteries

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
The reason Noble still holds down a place in the side is because our signings in that department for the last 3/4 years have not been an improvement on what we have.

£100m Russ?? Who we spending that on?? Or are we buying a 100 players at a million pound each?? Just wondering….

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
Maybe they should go and speak with the owner of Brentford? He deploys a 'moneyball' scouting and recruitment system that everyone at the club needs to buy-in to. It seems to find them real gems that they get for peanuts and sell for big profit.

Well, that's if money is their motivator

I wasn’t there.

And what of it?

Hopefully the people moaning at the board and lack of activity were also at the protest at the weekend.

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
Can we have a liquidation thread instead?

Just disband the club and be done with it.

Just think Russ, if we had taken all our chances in the first half yesterday, we could have gone it at.......well, 2-0 down!

Don't go mental. Just pulling your plonker son.

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
If the owners were serious about staying up then they would've already spent about £100m in this window. But they aren't and so they haven't. It's not often I say this but right now I am embarrassed by this club.

This is unfortunately spot on. Jeez its scary reading, because you know nothing is going to happen.

When you are this far into the window and you are still trying to figure what to do, then it will be panic buys only.

As always we have failed to have a plan, both for replacing Pelle and for getting reinforcements. Surely when we saw the free fall start, or even before, a responsible club owner would be talking to potential managers and have their perspective, so we wouldnt be back to sqaure 1 mid-window. How come Dithering Dave did not have a transfer target list and already be in touch with agents prior to getting the appointment, so he could tell the GSB that this was needed? Was he not supposed to be on top of the current game?

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
This club is fucking disintegrating in front of us. Very very heartbreaking to watch. Relegation will confirm the misery of this season.

GSB deserve everything coming their way. This is on them.

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
Agreed with the comment about being the best at buying players who arent right for us. You could say that there is obviously something wrong with them if the best clubs arent going for em em but theyre after the best...the 100 mill players. We should be in the market for the Haller type players, who seemingly appear to be decent footballers until they arrive here

They then become ineffective, dissinterested and dejected human beings. Payet aside of course...and look how that ended. Its hard to imagine this bunch get rallied up for a dog fight in the dressing room. Barely see anyone crack a smile lately.

Whether its being sold a dream that becomes a very disappointing reality, theyre being mis-managed, they get alienated by our wanker owners or they just hate the British weather...i dont know. But there is something fundamentally wrong. Who spends 45m on a striker and then battles for relegation?

Were a toxic club that needs an overhaul

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
The sad truth for us West ham fans is that Moyes is not God, because the players he has at his disposal are at best mid table championship level.
We always buy the wrong players and we are very good at it, they all look bored or tired and consistency is about as solid around this club as a light fluffy trifle, as someone once said in a lethal weapon movie, I'm getting too old for this shit.

Re: 2019/20 Relegation thread
I don't think Noble is done - and his experience and leadership would be absolutely vital in the Championship if we get relegated.

But there is no way the fella could play 46 games in the Championship. He will be 33 when next season starts and his body is battered. He looks shattered at this stage of a 38 game Premiership season - and our huge pitch does not help him at all because of his lack of pace. Imagine what the Championship would do to him.
