Proper cunty this by the board.

Then again the board at West Ham have always been cunts ever since I started supporting the club.

Hope those affected get this overturned.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
That price in ANY stadium is insane, short of it being a major final.

I'd expect a three course dinner and a waiter bringing drinks to my seat for that much.

£375 a ticket for a football match in an ATHLETICS stadium?

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
What do the club pay? My current seat would be sold at £375 according to the website for the Spurs game.

If they pay 1/19th of what you paid, I don't see it as an issue. I wouldn't be disappointed with club cash as you just use it off your next season ticket?

I do disagree with it expiring though. Why does it have to expire?

Slightly of topic but the last bloke I brought away tickets from told me about his m8 who had his season ticket took of him and was banned for getting involved in a fight at OS
Then went on and brought a corporate ticket no questions asked money gladly accepted

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
All they’d have to do to stop abuse of the ticket exchange is to cap the amount of times you can use it to 3 or 4. Then give people actual cash for the price they sell it at minus a small fee.

I can’t believe people use it the way it is currently set up.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
The ticket exchange is a funny one. Selling back at 1/19th of the season ticket price I understand- and it being club credit I understand. Otherwise you make money from just buying a ticket and listing it every time without even going to a game. I've also found it quite handy at times when I've not been able to go.

I don't also have a huge problem with them selling it at the going rate for a single game either if you've sold it back to them. That is understandable.

The aggression with which they seem to be going after other people who are just selling on at face or even giving away to help a fellow hammer is very sad to see and smacks of greed. If someone is profiteering regularly from dealing in tickets then fair play, but it really doesn't hurt anyone at all if genuine fans sell or give a ticket to other genuine fans without profiteering.

I've never used it, but isn't there a system where you can 'gift' your ticket to someone through the website or something? Is that any good if it's worth bothering with? (I assume they don't take a cut, but I really wouldn't know) I'm not saying that anyone should HAVE to go down that road, but if it stops people getting tracked down and banned then it might be a way that people can continue helping each other out. They should just do a proper ticket matching thing for fans, for both home and away matches Just something to help out the fans of the club, but of course there's no money in that....

You are correct P, but then there's things like the Premium phone line one of our owners had shares in to sell West Ham 'customers' match tickets.....his punishment.......to sell the shares and get his money back with i dare say, a large profit.

To set rules surely you have set standards?

This should have been Sullivan's 'Ratners' moment.......

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
Well, who would have thunk it? Just received this e-mail:

RELIST YOUR SEAT FOR
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
SATURDAY 23 NOVEMBER, 12.30PM

Mr Cough - tickets for the Tottenham Hotspur match are now completely sold out!

Thousands of Hammers fans are still trying to secure tickets for our London derby next weekend, so if you cannot attend the match make sure you list your seat for sale to give others the chance to be there and keep the stadium at full capacity.

We recommend that you list your seat as soon as possible, as seats that are listed earlier are extremely likely to sell.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
Ive been there when it opened for a game, and over the speakers you hear “the customers can now enter the arena”....

Personally, i have no issue with a tourist area. Stick them right at the back.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
I'd also question why as 'fans' they are so determined to treat supporters as customers and the club as a business instead of a sporting occasion.

This has become a problem because the all round product is overpriced and sub standard on a regular basis season to season, their 'customers' are finally starting to choose to do other things to get entertainment and those not so fortunate are then sold on a bad product by their consistent bad investment in ALL areas but often in want to go, they won't see this as the longterm scam it is.

They want it both ways and ALWAYS in their financial favour.

They need to learn the away games are seen as better for the company kept and that most the days entertainment has NOTHING to do with the club, the actual 'event' they sell to us is becoming secondary.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
Ham but the thing is they own the club and in theory it is theirs to do what they want with. I’m not saying I agree with it and to be honest I have stopped going (had a season ticket for over 20 years) but the simple facts are it’s theirs to set their rules for. Break it and it’s theirs to set the punishment for.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
This tourist thing... there are fans who travel from abroad to a lot of the games, I know people in Norway and Italy that have season tickets.
A lot of tickets get sold for weekends in London, taking in a football game.

Agree the tickets should first be offered to the waiting list.

Steven, because 'the rules' are those akin to a protection racket, read what the cunt owners are doing themselves......

“ And as for attracting “tourists” to the games, how on earth are we going to grow if we only allow the regular West Ham supporters into the ground? Bit small minded that is.”

The club should be selling any spares to people on their colossal waiting list, not to fans of opposing teams.

Steven P 1:42 Sat Nov 16
Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
Not being funny but if the know the rules and then break them, what do they expect?

And as for attracting “tourists” to the games, how on earth are we going to grow if we only allow the regular West Ham supporters into the ground? Bit small minded that is.

Re: Banned by the board for selling tickets...
The ticket exchange these wankers are running is keeping all monies, it’s mafia behavior, they buy it back from you for less than face value, you only receive credit spent at the club shop.. or next season’s ST, what if you’re not going to renew?

Then sell it on for face value.
