Re: Will a 0 - 5 drubbing be enough for the owners to sack the past it one
I have always scoffed at the 'who comes in' line down the years, it's a nonsense as there are always plenty of managers about, folk used to wheel that line out when Moyes was on his last legs and we ended up with a manager who had won the PL not so long ago ffs, BUT I am now at the point where it won't matter a jot who comes in, the club is toxic and no manager is gonna succeed here. And for the record, I would not want Benitez, what the fuck would he achieve exactly?

Re: Will a 0 - 5 drubbing be enough for the owners to sack the past it one
Of course not, sink into the bottom 3, which is only a matter of time on current form and he will still be at the helm as one of the hishest paid managers in the WORLD.

He has a contract, he will see it out, unless we realy capitulate its nailed on he sees out his term IMO.

And even if we do get rid, who would come in??? certainly not any of the decent mangers around, who in there right mind would come to such a laughing stock of a club!

Once again not one youngster in the squad as they all played last night.
Another 4-0 thrashing they're ripping that league apart yet not one can even make the bench.

I think Roberto must have a clause. Fucking ridiculous if he starts against the yids.

Maybe some of our so-called "stars" have guaranteed game-minutes built into their contracts - wouldn't surprise me seeing how often the board have been kippered by proper football people over the years through sticking to their "business plan".

They won’t sack him as it’ll cost to much to do.

Stuck with him and then I’m afraid.

this is football though, totally different.

it's the manager end of, why isn't he giving Holland and Scully a chance, really can't do any worse and would be very keen to impress. it's a no brainer yet he continues to stick with the same shit why clearly know they are undroppable so aren't motivated to put in the extra effort that's needed currently.

I agree but if you didn't do your job properly it would be your bosses job to make you perform by whatever means necessary. Dr Death isn't currently doing that or it ain't fucking working because we are as shit as I can remember for a while.

Re: Will a 0 - 5 drubbing be enough for the owners to sack the past it one
No. If it cost the SPIVS money they will just put it down to bad luck and move on to next week.Howere. If there was another pitch invasion. Or a direct protest at the owners inside the stadium. Then they might be forced into action.*

* None of the actions above are recommended by this poster.

Pellegrini is on such a huge wedge that if we did sack him.. laying out near on 15 million for him and the rest of his 'team, means we would probably see the return of curbishley on 15k a week

It’s shit performances at home that get you the sack.
Reckon Pellegrini has two more up his sleeve before he can book that Caribbean Christmas break.

To be honest until the owners go it’s just shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic.

Thats a fair point But these are highly paid professional Footballers. My boss doesn't have to motivate me everyday, I know what I have to do and I do it.

It will happen when we are in or on the edge of the bottom 3 around Xmas. I cannot see how this can be turned around

It's up to the manager to motivate these pricks surely?

Re: Will a 0 - 5 drubbing be enough for the owners to sack the past it one
No, this is more to do with the players than the Manager imo. Yes he is very set in his ways as most older people are (myself included). But his philosophy has worked in the past and he won't change. Apart from a few Noble, Rice, Snodgrass the others and we all know who they are need to stand up and be counted now!

We ain't getting beat 5 today. Probably 3.

I think the owners will try to alleviate the issue with some shit old buys in the window. Then wait until it's too late and sack the old chap.

They would rather lose heavily than lose face.

0-10, maybe; that would be all they would be remembered for in the history books.
