I have never doubted Pellegrini.
I like what he is trying to do and have no trouble to support him.

This from the Telegraph says everything about him for me and also for me this is how a West Ham manager must always think.

“Pellegrini said that his key challenge all week had been to convince the players not to abandon the attacking style which he wants them to play, in the good times and the bad.”

Not on anything, no windup, and although I’ve never been tested completely sane.

No confusion either. I am clear I want a win on Saturday.

I'm now convinced Mex Martillo is not just an idiot, but an idiot on a wind up.

It doesn't matter that we ship three goals a game according to him, so long as we try. What a moron.

Re: Pellegrini in in in in
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream—and not make dreams your master;
If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,

And—which is more—you'll be a Man my son!

Mex,

You are obviously welcome to your opinion but this is the worst Arsenal side in over 30 years and the stats have proven that.

Until Monday they hadn't won a premiership game where they were behind at half time for 8 years. You are talking like it's some moral victory just because we played ok for about 30 minutes. The goal we scored was a fluke as well.

It's not even the Arsenal that was the biggest issue. It was the disgraceful performances against the likes of Oxford, Newcastle, Burnley & Everton that have turned the majority of fans against him including his decision to continue picking Roberto up until recently.

Re: Pellegrini in in in in
But you don’t know what Pellegrini does do you (we). We don’t see the training, we don’t know what he says.

All we know is what the players do in each game.

Also, it not correct is it? We do have possession, we do pass the ball sometimes with style, we do defend, we do have a plan to score, we do shot, we do cross, we do make good scoring opportunities and we do score.

Against Arsenal, we did all that and it was going not too badly for the first hour. Then one mistake let a goal in and all the players stopped doing that stuff.

No confidence, it’s difficult, but that can come back. Starting at Southampton.

If bilic stayed we would have been lucky to stay up. That was obvious.

Now he inherited one of the best squads in that division. They weren't exactly shit last year. Maybe bilic has learnt a thing or 2 since us, you would hope so. Let's see how he copes If things start going wrong for them. Thats where his flaws came out for us after an impressive first season. He looked clueless.

Pellegrini is looking more washed up than that now and frankly relying on a goal keeper returning to turn it around doesn't show much confidence in the manager either.

You twat.

Re: Pellegrini in in in in
When teams concede a lot of goals supporters of the manager often talk about the team playing ‘attacking football’.
Usually it just means they are shit at defending.
We can’t defend, we don’t seem to have a plan to score (we don’t shoot, we don’t cross, we don’t run in behind) and we are wide open through the middle of the pitch.
Oh and we lack any pace or penetration.
There is absolutely no sign that Pellegrini is addressing any of these problems.
He doesn’t appear to be aware that there are problems

Hammer and Pickle 9:31 Tue Dec 10
Re: Pellegrini in in in in
I admire your faith Mex - problem is, the players don’t seem to share it when it counts and we are an insipid mess all over the park and especially in attack.

Sorry but I haven’t seen Pellegrini do anything to address the glaring weaknesses in our game, which are a lack of pace, movement off the ball, cohesion on the ball and poise to exploit scoring opportunities.

Mex for an attacking team we’re fucking awful in possession.

Re: Pellegrini in in in in
No we weren’t Mex, all the no nothings could only see the points total and not the fact we were skanking results!
When your GK is making more saves than any other GK in the league, then there’s a serious problem .
We’ve been shit for a very long time and when he’s gone you won’t believe the stories that are gonna be leaked, he makes Avram look like a workaholic!

Re: Pellegrini in in in in
I agree Hammer, he does not have the players now, but with Fabianski back he can build the confidence again and get those players back. Although Anderson is a bit of a mystery, I preferred that super Mario character, he was similar, but not afraid of the penalty area. That comment in the Guardian report about Anderson not taking on a weakened defender on his side was interesting.

Just hope Pellegrini gets the opportunity to sort it out.

John, I wouldn’t be proud of that, we were playing well back then.

OK so we attack and let three goals in per game??
Great solution.
See you in the Championship

Hammer and Pickle 8:17 Tue Dec 10
Re: Pellegrini in in in in
Well, it is a game of opinions, I suppose.

Problem is, he hasn’t got what it takes to turn this around, not on the basis of the showing in the last two games. These revealed the rot had set in throughout the team and Fabianski’s return is not changing that.

Mex Martillo 8:05 Tue Dec 10
Re: Pellegrini in in in in
Pellegrini will turn it round.

Looks like we need to wait for Fabianski to return, perhaps get some match fitness, then the confidence with slowly return to the rest of the team and well will be back as we were before Fabianski’s injury. During the winter / Spring we will have a good run and finish a boring mid table. A good FA cup run may also be possible.

Oh how I remember those days before the Fabianski injury when the Pellegrini out crowd were quiet in their misery of not having a crap West Ham to moan about. Well lap it up now you cunts, but don’t expect help from me.

It’s a great mong thread and I started it you cunts. I have never read a post on your shitty Pellegrini out thread and only opened it to call you all cunts. Did the same on the Bilic out thread.

I like Pellegrini for being inflexible always thinking how to attack. I am glad, proud Pellegrini never sets up to just defend. A bit more speed would be nice, we will get there.

Would that be the same Slaven Bilic whose team is top of the hardest division in Europe to get out of?
