A Pinned Memory Thread
As WHO and a lot of WHOers have been on the go along time now , I was wondering if there is any value of an idea of keeping a pinned thread of various moments and threads. People are often asking about things like the heron thread , the fella who wanted to borrow a kid, the 9/11 thread etc etc. Not only could it be a kind of museum of WHO gold but also maybe contain links to obituaries and crucial threads over the years. I know threads have to be cleaned out after certain periods of time to keep the site running but this one could be left running and some posters have kept segments from threads on profiles etc. Probably heading for a major splat and have donned a tin hat but maybe someone else sees a way of making this idea more sensible and practical

the Child needed for Ipswich match thread by Magic Mutley

I\\\\\\'ve managed to get 2 adult tickets for the Ipswich match ,i bought a childs ticket at the same time, I had to buy this as they only had family stand tickets left by the time they went on sale to members, im not taking my little nephew as its midweek and the ticket office has told me that Ipswich are very strict on only letting in 2 adults per kid in the family stand, does any body know if this is true or be willing to meet at the ground with a spare kid we can all walk in with? I don\\\\\\'t really want to loiter around the entrance with my mate asking to borrow a kid ! It could be taken the wrong way!

Re: Child needed for Ipswich match

You can have the kid straight back once were in, i don\\\\\\'t see the problem? If you have 2 kids going you can have 4 adults walk in, so if you have 2 kids stop hogging them and lend us one please.

The "What animal could you kill with your bare hands" thread was a good one.

Re: A Pinned Memory Thread
Just make a 'WHO Gold' forum like the Ticket Forum. Pessimists will say that we don't produce great threads anymore, but I suspect the politics and bickering will cool down once the UK has GOT BREXIT DONE.

Happy memories of the geezer who happily told everyone he was hiring a brass and then gave us a day by day countdown to his big moment and also the "pick your animal XI" thread. Picking Billy the Fish should've been disallowed though...

It might turn out that Bilic asked Sakho where he would like to play and he replied "in France".

Boat Ownership
Does anyone own a boat?

Ive got a real hankering for one and havent even begun to look into it so there is always a WHO subject matter expert around.

Couple of points, would want to use it at sea, moor it permanently in the harbour here and not cost me a fortune. Also no sailing experience.

Have a bit of a practice first, maybe sit in the bath and listen to the fishing forecasts and stuff.

Without wanting to be too morose, I do wonder how many WHO members have passed. The site has been around for 20+ years and obviously a lot of members have just stopped posting, but there's probably quite a few that are no longer alive but didn't get a memorial thread.

I never laughed more on here than on the printer thread. It should have been kept.

I hear what you're saying Son of Sam, there's currently a process going on right now to preserve the "EU Referendum 23rd June 2016 declares Cameron" for all eternity
