This coronavirus in China - PL suspended until 1st June
anyone else worried? 9 dead so far.

CNY soon so the virus will spread very quickly if they cannot control it. It'll be in Europe by the end of CNY if not earlier.

is this the end of humanity?

Worrying is like sitting in a rocking chair . It’s something to do but it’ll get you nowhere.

I’m not that bothered. I have no influence on the powers that be. I’m just interested in knowing the facts for my own peace of mind and am happy to share. Some on here share my views some think I’m a cunt. That is then norm on here anyway.
I’m not of any particular political persuasion either. Loved Jezza and his ideas but hate traditional labour twats. Hate Tories. Hate Shermans in general.
Fact is we just wiped 5,000 officially off the data for Covid. Some think that is good some bad. For me it just changes the number to give a slightly different perspective of the virus I have no worry about.

I stopped worrying about anything decades ago: worry & guilt, the two biggest soul destroyers we have. No room for either.

Re: This coronavirus in China - PL suspended until 1st June

Sorry, but what a fucking stupid thing to say. You are again, trying to use data that comes after the actions that you've squealed about every fucking step of the way, to say this was no big deal.

The point is that EVEN WITH the extreme actions taken that did significant damage to the economy there were STILL more than 40k dead people.

If that hadn't happened fuck knows where things would be given the trajectory the virus spread was on.

So shut the fuck up with your curtain twitching bullshit. Everyone is tired of your fucking whining and inability to admit you have been talking crap for the past five months.

Grow the fuck up and deal with the reality - as that's how you get out the other side. And wear a fucking mask. It isn't fucking hard and not doing it doesn't make you hard - it makes you a twat.

Well. Worry about air quality or cars or alcohol or sex or smoking or mentalists then?

And I'm quite sure most people don't want that death hastened - even if it would level out the statistics.

What I’m saying is people die.

Just to be clear.

As far as lock down, masks and curtain twitching. Do what you like.

But the number of deaths you are quoting was after the lockdown. So hasn't doing exactly the opposite of what you've been advocating for in the past few months cut the number of deaths to about the same as air pollution?

Re: This coronavirus in China - PL suspended until 1st June
Good question.

Firstly it was my mongy brother in law’s model.

He pretty much gave up with it when they changed the data reporting which this is another example.

How any cunt makes sense of UK health data is beyond me but at least theist 5,000 dead people can rest peacefully in the knowledge that they didn’t actually die if Covid and instead just died a normal death.

Before the pandemic, air pollution was estimated to cause 40,000 early deaths a year in the UK, about the same number as the official UK coronavirus death toll to date.

Fact of the day.

Not that I care, but you have got a minus sign in your spreadsheet when you should have a plus, Brando

These are 5,000 less deaths.

I'm sure that those "more than 5,000" will be mightily relieved and they'll be clapping the NHS as soon as they get the chance.

Re: This coronavirus in China - PL suspended until 1st June
A review of how deaths from coronavirus are counted in England has reduced the UK death toll by more than 5,000, to 41,329, the government has announced.
The recalculation is based on a new definition of who has died from Covid.
Previously, people in England who died at any point following a positive test, regardless of cause, were counted in the figures.
But there will now be a cut-off of 28 days, providing a more accurate picture of the epidemic.
This brings England's measure in line with the other UK nations.
The new methodology for counting deaths means the total number of people who have died from Covid-19 comes down from 46,706 to 41,239 - a reduction of 12%.
And figures for deaths in England for the most recent week of data - 18 to 24 July - will drop by 75%, from 442 to 111.

😳

I promise I won't laugh if the best drug to manage C19 turns out to be Rohypnol.

There is some evidence that ivermectin has been effective inhibiting the replication of C19 in vitro, meaning in a test tube/laboratory environment. This is good news but not something a doctor would accept as showing efficacy in a clinical (real patient) setting.

Certainly in normal times, in vitro efficacy would not be enough to prompt use of a drug on a human without further successful testing.
