This coronavirus in China
anyone else worried? 9 dead so far.

CNY soon so the virus will spread very quickly if they cannot control it. It'll be in Europe by the end of CNY if not earlier.

is this the end of humanity?

Re: This coronavirus in China
I'm just gonna fucking say it.

We've been told constantly that once everyone is jabbed, normality will return.

Turns out that was another lie. People will still die and they'll still have their excuse to lock us down again whenever they want.

And none of you even bat an eyelid.

As i said the other day, this discussion is pointless cos i was under the impression you lot actually wanted normality to return and would hold the government to account if they didn't hold their end of the deal. In reality you don't give a shit and are happy living under this bollocks for the rest of your lives and will defend Boris and his pals to the hilt. I've spent my whole life under the impression that in Britain we don't "do" authoritarianism and we have something about us that makes us different, and if any government ever pushed their luck, we wouldn't fucking have it. Turns out that was complete shite.

Don't worry, pickled, you'll live long enough to see Brexit the success it was always destined to be.

You may even get to see high quality UK produce back in Polish shops so long as the Euro holds out.

My kids arę going to be so glad they don’t have to log in to school tomorrow at 7am - it’s never going to get back to normal, why bother?

Oh and how soon after I get my second jab in May can I expect to die of Covid mimmler?

(and this is coming from someone who isn't rushing out to get vaccinated himself!)

"So if the jab doesn't stop you dying and won't get us back to normal (and I'm just talking about me here, as many others will be going back to their normal life), then I'll ignore the fact that the vaccination greatly reduces the chances of death."

How's that, MiM?

Re: This coronavirus in China
Thank you for proving that you're deliberately being thick. No-one, not one person ever (except a conspiracy theorist making it up), claimed that it would definitely stop anyone from dying.

It almost certainly will stop you, but there can be no guarantee - which is why NO-ONE has ever claimed there was.

This is the same as your last post - you're trying to play with language to create a point but you're not good enough at it. And facts let you down, of course.

He's not making your point, he's showing your interpretation for what it is.

Nobody has said, I think, that the vaccination stops you dying of Covid.

Have I missed the bit when someone said the vaccination stops you from dying?

Re: This coronavirus in China
Thankyou for making my point for me; that vaccination doesn't stop you dying of COVID, and won't help bring society back to "normal".

That's all I've been trying to say.

Re: This coronavirus in China
I'm going to....... understand it. You choose - deliberately - not to.

The majority who die from it will be double-jabbed by virtue of the vast majority of people having been double-jabbed. It's like saying they'll all have heads.

Innocuous information twisted with a little silly language by conspiracy theorists - standard stuff since the start of this. Easily dismissed, but you'll ignore it and run with it anyway.

"The fact is that the vaccines aren't going to ever protect 100%"

The government say, on their own website, that the majority of people who will die in a third wave will be those double-jabbed.

Not just some; the majority. Page 10:

Re: This coronavirus in China
The variant thing is clearly bullshit given the amount if difference in these from the original strain.
There is no way the body wouldn't recognise them if they have had is previously. If anyone can find some good science to debunk this (from an independent not state owned media) then I'm happy to be enlightened.
It's just down to how good you are at fighting it as with all viruses. Even those who had the original SARS have found good levels of protection from it after years of mutation.

The fact is that the vaccines aren't going to ever protect 100% and it's impossible to know how effective they are over the bodies own immunity system which must be pretty bloody good as apparently 1 in 3 of us with COVID has no symptoms.

Unless you are in the high risk category then you have little to worry about.

Don't even get me started on 'long COVID' . I mean it's like ME was never a thing either. My sister suffered with it for years after a virus.

Re: This coronavirus in China
"A document, originally obtained by Associated Press last year among a cache labelled 'not to be made public', was a key plank in President Xi Jinping’s campaign to regain control of the pandemic narrative by silencing dissenting scientific voices and shutting down internal debate. It was sent out following the publication of report by two Chinese scientists which concluded 'the coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory', as well as a series of investigations by local media and citizen reporters into pandemic failings. The scientific report was swiftly withdrawn and journalists jailed on grounds such as 'picking quarrels and provoking trouble'."

WHO: No evidence the Chinese practice of eating anything that moves alive contributed to Covid.

Also WHO: BAN the sale of live animals in food markets to stop the spread of things like Covid.

Dunno where to start with this bollocks

"Those without symptoms should visit their local authority website for more information" Why?

So we've been locked down and no hollibubbles for us naughty brits for importing a kent variant via france and african and arab shit holes, so we have not been allowed to travel anywhere, but somehow we have managed to import a south african variant (possibly via the mistral blowing across the sahara into europe, bypassing europe but landing on perfidious albion.)

"BREAKING
South Africa cases prompt surge testing in London
Surge testing is being rolled out in parts of Wandsworth and Lambeth in South London, after cases of the South Africa variant were found.

All identified cases are isolating or have completed their isolation, and their contacts have been traced and asked to isolate.

Everyone aged 11 and over who lives or works in, or travels through the two London boroughs is being "strongly encouraged" to take a Covid-19 PCR test, whether they are showing symptoms or not.

People with symptoms should book a free test online or by phone so they can get tested at a testing site or have a testing kit sent to them at home.

Those without symptoms should visit their local authority website for more information.

NHS Test and Trace said it was the largest surge testing operation to date"

But I'm fucking right, they couldn't wait for the EU, so they went it alone and have the second highest vaccination rate in the EU. So Swiss is actually right, the individual countries could go it alone!! H&P the site clown, wrong again!!!
