This coronavirus in China
anyone else worried? 9 dead so far.

CNY soon so the virus will spread very quickly if they cannot control it. It'll be in Europe by the end of CNY if not earlier.

is this the end of humanity?

Re: This coronavirus in China
"A document, originally obtained by Associated Press last year among a cache labelled 'not to be made public', was a key plank in President Xi Jinping’s campaign to regain control of the pandemic narrative by silencing dissenting scientific voices and shutting down internal debate. It was sent out following the publication of report by two Chinese scientists which concluded 'the coronavirus probably originated from a laboratory', as well as a series of investigations by local media and citizen reporters into pandemic failings. The scientific report was swiftly withdrawn and journalists jailed on grounds such as 'picking quarrels and provoking trouble'."

WHO: No evidence the Chinese practice of eating anything that moves alive contributed to Covid.

Also WHO: BAN the sale of live animals in food markets to stop the spread of things like Covid.

Dunno where to start with this bollocks

"Those without symptoms should visit their local authority website for more information" Why?

So we've been locked down and no hollibubbles for us naughty brits for importing a kent variant via france and african and arab shit holes, so we have not been allowed to travel anywhere, but somehow we have managed to import a south african variant (possibly via the mistral blowing across the sahara into europe, bypassing europe but landing on perfidious albion.)

"BREAKING
South Africa cases prompt surge testing in London
Surge testing is being rolled out in parts of Wandsworth and Lambeth in South London, after cases of the South Africa variant were found.

All identified cases are isolating or have completed their isolation, and their contacts have been traced and asked to isolate.

Everyone aged 11 and over who lives or works in, or travels through the two London boroughs is being "strongly encouraged" to take a Covid-19 PCR test, whether they are showing symptoms or not.

People with symptoms should book a free test online or by phone so they can get tested at a testing site or have a testing kit sent to them at home.

Those without symptoms should visit their local authority website for more information.

NHS Test and Trace said it was the largest surge testing operation to date"

But I'm fucking right, they couldn't wait for the EU, so they went it alone and have the second highest vaccination rate in the EU. So Swiss is actually right, the individual countries could go it alone!! H&P the site clown, wrong again!!!

'I will explain one last time to you you dense cunt. Each country in the EU had the option to join the EU directive or not. Would the UK have done this...I doubt it.'

Which of the EU27 exercised their option not to comply with the EU directive, Swiss. Until I hear of one, I'll just have to take that option as a purely theoretical one.

The fact we didn't have a 3rd wave is because our vaccination program was far advanced of those in the EU but has nothing to do with us being in or out you stupid cunt.

I will explain one last time to you you dense cunt. Each country in the EU had the option to join the EU directive or not. Would the UK have done this...I doubt it.

It's to do with us hoarding the vaccines.

Concentrate on the affect since 1st Jan on our exports...stupid twat.

French site, but interview in English.

An Italian professor explaining how he had a victory where the senate approved the use of several existing and cheap drugs that have been shown to work in the treatment of covid symptoms. He says it’s good news, but hardly any news outlets are reporting on the senate’s decision.

Its an inhalable steroid, so it shouldn't be a surprise.

Ah! One of mine many, many years ago. Developed by Astra long before it became AstraZeneca.

Of course this has been off-patent for so many years that anyone can manufacture it now. AZ had a unique inhaler but many are still happy with the old pMDI used by other manufacturers.

One small point of interest is that budesonide is almost identical clinically to beclametasone, so I wouldn't be surprised if that joins the party soon too unless there is some hitherto unknown difference that use for Covid has revealed.

Both drugs now 'cheap as chips' as we say.

An inhaled drug commonly use for asthma has been shown to shorten the time it takes to recover from Covid-19 for ill patients who do not need hospital treatment – a development that has been described as a “significant milestone” in the fight against coronavirus.

Of course it does
