Will Unwin

There’s a desperation at Manchester United to return to the Fergie days and, in order to hasten the process, they’ve been linked with bringing back a 35-year-old Carlos Tevez from Boca Juniors. No news on the availability of David Bellion and Kleberson, mind.

Some would say United need to get in new players whatever the cost. Ed Woodward, unfortunately for United fans, does not agree and will apparently not meet Sporting’s valuation of Bruno Fernandes. Matías Vecino will also not be arriving at Old Trafford after Internazionale batted away a loan offer for the midfielder.

There is, however, no need to panic for United fans as they are said to have lined up the answer to their problems in the form of 19-year-old PSG midfielder Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe, who is currently learning all about professional football on loan at Ligue 2 Le Havre.

Chelsea’s search for a striker supposedly means they have reopened talks with Lyon about signing former Celtic frontman Moussa Dembélé as PSG’s Edinson Cavani looks a distant prospect. United are also keeping tabs on the Uruguayan who will almost certainly depart Paris this month.

Due to Luis Suárez’s injury, Barcelona need a replacement and high on their list is Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who may well keen on a move to the Camp Nou. Another eyeing a flight from London to Spain is midfielder Dani Ceballos, who is said to be upset at not playing much football since arriving at Arsenal and is aiming to cut his loan deal short in order to find games elsewhere. Valencia could be one potential destination.

Newcastle are getting quite exciting after securing a couple of new signings and are now focusing on acquiring Danny Rose from Spurs, who is has been looking for a way out in recent years. If the defender does depart, it would give José Mourinho a few more quid to throw at Real Sociedad in order to tempt them to sell striker Willian José, as Spurs have currently come up short in the bidding process.

Things are going quite well for Liverpool at the moment, so it comes as no surprise that Jürgen Klopp has turned down Barcelona’s kind off to bring Philippe Coutinho back for a mere £91m.

And Roy Hodgson is looking to China to freshen up the Crystal Palace ranks. The Eagles are in talks with Dalian Yifang over Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco.

£180,000 per week winger offered to West Ham

Dalian Yifang winger Yannick Carrasco has been reportedly offered to West Ham.

The Daily Mail say Crystal Palace is interested former Atletico Madrid midfielder.

The Belgian is earning £180,000 a week in China with Dalian Yifang and Premier League are unlikely to be willing to match that wage package.

Carrasco is reported to be currently in Belgium, training on his own as talks are ongoing in a bid to sort out his immediate club future. The 26-year-old went on to make 25 appearances in the Chinese Super League last season and scored 17 goals, adding a further eight assists. His contract at the Chinese club is set to expire at the end of 2022 and so Dalian Yifang may push for a sale, rather than a loan this month, if he is to depart.

Carrasco began his senior career with Monaco, before moving to Atletico Madrid for a fee in the region of £20m in 2015.

In February 2018 Carrasco joined Dalian Yifang, and has scored 24 goals in 52 appearances in China.

Serhou Guirassy: West Ham in talks to sign Amiens striker on loan

West Ham are in talks with Ligue 1 side Amiens over a loan deal for their striker Serhou Guirassy.

Amiens were pushing for a permanent deal, but with one week to go until Deadline Day they are now prepared to let him leave on loan with an option to buy in the summer.

The 23-year-old French forward joined the Ligue 1 side from Bundesliga club Köln in a £5m deal last summer.

Guirassy has been linked with a move to a host of Premier League clubs in January, including Leicester and Aston Villa, after scoring four goals this season with Amiens sitting 18th in Ligue 1.

West Ham plotting move for Slavia Prague midfielder Tomas Soucek

The Hammers are desperate to bolster their options in midfield and have identified the Czech international as a potential signing

By Sam Inkersole

West Ham are exploring a deal to sign midfielder Tomas Soucek from Slavia Prague, football.london understands.

The 24-year-old midfielder is valued at around €25m by his club but the Hammers have been told they could get him for half that if a deal can be struck. They are confident they can agree an initial loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the campaign but nothing has been agreed yet.

Soucek has scored ten goals so far this season, eight in the Fortuna Liga, for Prague and plays effectively as a number six or eight in the midfield so could slot in alongside Declan Rice.

Soucek has picked up 25 caps for his country

West Ham are desperate for a new midfielder this window and have been linked with a host of them so far as they bid to battle against the drop. A move for Genk midfielder Sander Berge is unlikely, football.london understands.

The club also holds interest in Franck Kessie of AC Milan and Joe Allen of Stoke City but the latter would be a last resort.

With just a week of the transfer window remaining, the Hammers need to get a move on if they want to bolster the squad having only signed Darren Randolph so far this window as a backup goalkeeper from Middlesbrough for £4m.

The club is currently struggling to attract players, with football.london understanding that two players this summer have rejected the club's advances as they don't want to be involved in a relegation battle.

Another move has also fallen through with the selling club wanting a permanent option included in a loan deal even if the Hammers were relegated at the end of the season.

West Ham turn attention to new midfield target – Price for PL clubs is €22m, but €17m for rest of Europe

Recently thumped 4-1 by Leicester City, West Ham aren’t in the best of ways, and with a busy second half of the season ahead, David Moyes knows he needs to turn things around relatively quickly.

The club are currently hovering just above the relegation zone in 17th, and with a number of frustrating injuries decimating the squad, reinforcements are needed.

A new defensive midfielder is needed, with Steven Nzonzi heavily mentioned as an option, but a new name is now circulating in Italy, as Messaggero Veneto reckon West Ham have turned their attention to Seko Fofana.

The Udinese man has a number of admirers around Europe, including past interest from Leicester in the Premier League, but it’s the Hammers who are the latest to have come forward.

The local newspaper explain that Gino Pozzo, the Serie A club’s owner, could find a number of offers on his table on Monday.

For the concerned Premier League sides, the asking price is said to be around €22m, while that figure could drop to €17m for the rest of Europe, including Italy.

One of the reasons for this, other than the usual ‘Premier League tax’ could be the fact that selling Fofana to West Ham and strengthening them would be ‘playing with fire’ for Pozzo, as he would be directly helping one of Watford’s rivals in the relegation fight.

It’s a new name, and one we’ll be keeping an eye on.
