Mr West Ham’s last full season
Many of us (not me) want our modern day legend out of the team, but who is here to replace him? He doesn’t get the recognition he deserves and 100% should have got his call up to England in our final season at UP.

It’s hard to imagine us without him. Pin point passing, deadly from the spot and bleeds claret & blue.

Only behind Sir Bobby Moore for me. Going to miss the man when he’s gone. Our future manager. How anyone can have a bad word to say against him....

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
He said himself that if he is playing every week we are in trouble
We needed to buy two more central midfielders and ended up with Sanchez and Wilshere.
He should be a squad player and come on to close out games like yesterday.

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
We still look worse when he's not playing.

Just the fact he actually tries and cares and never hides. No obvious replacement is there

Says a lot about the other players.

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
I love Noble. He's been immense for us, or many years and we'd probably have been relegated in previous seasnos had he not been in the team. But he's passed it and needs repalcing. It's a manager's job to make sure his loss doesn't effect team spririt enough to take us dowm

He has been a good servant but that fact he hasn’t been replaced in the last 3 years says how shambolic the transfer policy has been

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
In West Ham history he's not up there with the most skill but certainly hard-working, reliable and gives 100% every time he pulls on the shirt.

I can see a Mark Noble Suite at the LS in a few years. You'll be able to sit and have a drink as you decide which Mark Noble inspired dish you'll go for before watching the game against Carlisle.

After which you can enjoy watching the two Daves and Busty Karen gyrate around their respective poles hoping for a few coins to be thrown into the bucket placed at the front.

It's the next level, ya know.

I thought the OP was about Mark Noble until I read "Pin point passing".

So who is this about then?

I work in a profession full of people on the spectrum.

But, collectively, they are better than WHO at spotting sarcasm.

WHO is worse than computer scientists.

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
His legs may have gone and he has bad games but can't say I've ever seen him down tools or put in a lack of effort like some of the others.

Partly down to managing him though. If you are going to play him you have to just sit him in front of the back four rather than further forward. Rice and Soucek hopefully will have the legs to go box to box and close down. Nobes doesn't so when he gets bypassed further up you are in trouble, so the deeper he plays the better.

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
This thread was never about him not being good enough? It’s about him being our best player over a decade because we haven’t signed anyone to replace him.

Thread is a bit out of order . I've criticised him plenty of times on here . His legs are gone unquestionably ' but doesn't deserve this .

Fucking annoys me when people say..."he wasn't the worst"

Its central fucking midfield that's not protecting our defence

We are lightweight

We panic

We have no legs

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
He was dreadful last 20 mins. Nobes has been unbelievable servant to us and goes down as a club legend.

But youll lose more games than you win in the premier league with him in the middle.

Just not good enough.

Re: Mr West Ham’s last full season
If the rumours about the overbearing influence of sullivan are to be believed the regular inclusion of Noble is part of that. He's been far too prominent over the last ten years. Yes there's a place for a clubman at every club but they have to be able as well as willing.
