GTHC Predicts, Man City Away
Away for a few weeks and no internet, so the 3 games i missed, a flogging from Leicester, a surrender to Liverpool and the what has become, the annual FA cup embarrassment, this year at home to a 10 man championship side……………………so no real surprises, oh and then the usual January transfer window, promises but fuck all, thanks GS&B.

Only a complete delusional optimist would predict us getting anything at Man City, even the thatched one has us down for a 3-0 defeat, a big departure from his usual 2-0 when it looks a dead cert, so 1-0 to West Ham it is then!!!! And yet another classic FMOB win when least expected……… COYI

Manchester City's defeat by Tottenham on Sunday summed up their season.

They should have been in front and out of sight long before they were reduced to 10 men and fell behind soon afterwards.

Again, City conceded with the first shot they faced in the game, this time in the 63rd minute.

Sometimes, when you are on a run where that keeps happening, as a player you sometimes expect it - you are in control of the game but you haven't taken your chances and you start thinking "when is the crazy moment coming?"

It has just been one of those seasons for City, but I would still be very surprised if they don't finish second.

I would also be shocked if they don't beat West Ham on Sunday.

This Hammers team cannot defend at the moment, as we saw against Brighton last weekend, so City are going to get plenty of chances to find the net this time.

West Ham know they are in a relegation dogfight now, but the problem is they knew that last Saturday too, and it did not seem to help them.

They were great when they were 3-1 up against the Seagulls, but the way they are conceding goals and dropping points from winning positions - 19 this season, a Premier League high - is a massive worry.

That is an issue for their players too, because it will affect their mindset.

Even when they go a goal in front, everyone kind of takes a step back because they know what is coming, and it is very difficult to change that mentality.

Lawro's prediction: 3-0

I had that dream too. I'm pretty sure it was Diop.

Worth a couple of quid at 150/1.

Have to say, as much as I loathe him, I think his analysis is spot on. If we score first, so what we have done so loads of times, no metal on the team. The confidence of the crust on a rice pudding. If we concede first, then heads immediately go down - like the GBS Hammers.

Of course Manuel, when it comes to predicting West Ham, I reserve the right to be a deluded fan and both cunt them off as useless, spineless over paid gits, but I still expect them to win every week! Even though on current form we may have a job even if Man City fielded there under 12,s.

Maybe a “slight” exaggeration there but im sure you get the gist.

Under 21,s maybe another matter……………..

In all other matters football im totally rational! Looking forward to the weekend and early next week as we aren’t playing until Wednesday, games everyday though, all of which I will probably enjoy, our game will more than likely see the usual shaking of my head, cursing under my breath and by full time feeling totally fucked off, if in fact I can be arsed to get up and watch it live, otherwise it will be a fast forward version of the just mentioned…………...

So you mock him for his 'ridiculous' suggestion that City may have had some luck with last weeks game being called off, then immediately predict we will beat them?

Re: GTHC Predicts, Man City Away
Well hes still going for a 3-0, did make me chuckle when he starts by saying the week off after this game was postponed may help Man City!!!!! As if they would have needed help had it gone ahead last week, bwahahahahahahaha

Here the revised prediction, im still going for the FMOB Hammers win by the solitary goal, but then im a deluded West Ham fan.....................

Having this game delayed by 10 days might help Manchester City a bit - Aymeric Laporte will have a few more training sessions under his belt and could be fit enough to come into contention.

If City harbour any serious ambitions of winning the Champions League then they have to kick on and start performing the way we know they can before they face Real Madrid at the end of the month.

West Ham will also have benefited from some time training together, especially at the back.

The one thing Hammers boss David Moyes will have been working on is defensively, because they were woeful at the back last time out in their draw with Brighton.

Even so, I don't think West Ham will have enough about them to take even a point away from City. I went with 3-0 last time, and I am going to stick with that scoreline this time too.

We might look good for passages in this match.

Pretty sure we have for bits of our previous thrashings.

But we're going to have to look good all match long to get something out of this, unless City have one of their off-days.

TBF, they seem to be having more off-days this season than last.

Hardly the most taxing of predictions he’ll make all season

However, it would be the west ham way to go there and get something.

Well, it could hardly be based on anything else, could it now.

Except we didn't defend that badly against Liverpool.

Admittedly, that counts for little, as Man City know how to thrash us, having had plenty of practice.

"Again, City conceded with the first shot they faced in the game, this time in the 63rd minute."

We've a chance if we have a shot.

Oh...
