Games behind closed doors
Looking more and more likely that games will very soon be played behind closed doors due to the pathetic panic over this virus
So should they just cancel this season as teams playing at home will lose their advantage or just carry on ?

"There is talk of over 70s not being allowed into stadiums instead of an outright closed doors game".

Could they make that over 50s do you think?

I'd have a cast iron reason not to go then.

I find it amazing that the powers that be seem to think that games behind closed doors, no handshakes etc. is the way forward, meanwhile the players are rolling around on a gob and snot filled pitch where they spit, hawk up and snot rocket at every opportunity. Fucking filth should stop straight away,

Hodgson has said if that’s the ruling he would comply with it

The other more important factor is when players come down with the virus and cannot play, teams might have to field weakened teams in crucial games. There will be all sorts shenanigans with attempts to get games called off.

Will be the same atmosphere as normal so will make no difference

That’s one way to get Gold and Sullivan out, but a bit harsh on Crystal Palace having to play without a manager

as i am not a season ticket holder i will now wait till about 2 days before the games to get my ticket just in case they are played behind closed doors
i bet with west ham there is an ; ACT OF GOD ; in the terms and conditions so they don't have to pay

No doubt the club wouldn’t give any refunds on the season tickets for the games that couldn’t be attended.Probably say its not their fault or at best give a credit towards a season ticket for next season.

We have an excellent record of playing behind closed doors so I say bring it on.

The season should be stopped today.
Abandoned and declared nul & void.
No trophies awarded and start again next season with the bottom 3 in the Premier league replaced with the top 3 from the Championship.
If things improve in the next couple of months the Euros can go ahead.

Who logic

Get angry. Stay angry.

Re: Games behind closed doors
Half the punters on here are angry and refuse to go to the stadium. If they decide to play the games behind closed doors they'll be angry because they can't go to the stadium.

Pure WHO

I don't think you can use West Ham's stadium as an example of any kind of advantage! Villa Park, definitely. But a load of tourists filming the game and thousands of bloke's hating the owners of the club sitting half a mile away from the pitch gives our players zero advantage at all.

We could only hope to somehow influence referee decisions.

Gank last game of season if we need to beat villa to stay up empty ground makes it a 50 50 game
Full groundcmakes it 100% west ham win

Re: Games behind closed doors
They're still at home. So the travel and preparation familiarity gives them an advantage. Much more so than a greater number of supporters.
