The (not a) Key Worker thread
Carrying on from a few posts in the Sir Tom thread, it occurred to me that some silly trades have been labelled 'Key Worker'...

To my shame I'm a 'Key Worker', as I dabble about in the defence industry.

For most of the last two months I've been sat at home, fiddling about on a laptop updating trials documents for RN ships computer systems. The only key thing I've done is remembered my password when logging-on. This week, I've had a nice jolly down in Plymouth as a ship in Devonport needed a Computer System checking out. I've been enjoying the sunshine most of the time!

I'm a Keyworker I am... (And to add to Vex's pain, a Jogger.)

Come on, own up, who else out there is revelling in the glory of being labelled a Key Worker, but isn't.

All of my team and me.

I think somebody saw the words medical and pharmaceutical in the job descriptions and made an assumption.

We're really not.

I work in IT for one of the big banks, and I'm doing stuff for COVID related products. I have an actual letter to say I'm a key worker and can travel to my place of work, which was issued in the case of a total lockdown.

Trouble is I work from home full time anyway, so nothing much has changed for me. apart from me working my bollocks off in one room while the rest of the family sits around binge watching box sets in another

Me - I work in NHS data. I get that we're doing important work, but we don't need the label 'key worker'.

Looking forward to my applause tomorrow night though - keep it up, I'm worth it.
