Some stats from Sky..
Thomas Soucek has covered the 4th furthest in the PL thus season.. He's only played 4 games I think?

Fornals is eighth.

Will be needing them all to pull shifts like that if we're to stay up

Ronald - Fornals was beginning to get regular assists and even goals. Definitely was improving.

Fornals is a good player skill wise and effort wise. His glaring problem which put off other teams is his startling lack of pace. To be effective in the PL you gotta have pace or a genius brain. He is a good sold footballer but playing him out on left or left of a 3 which is where he found himself is no good as he cant lose a player when running. Always tries though.

Fornals had a shaky start but was definitely improving. Ideally he’d have had some settling in time here but we were so bad he wasn’t really afforded that.

It’s plain to see from last summer he’s a good player. It’s Just a case of putting him in a position and gaining the confidence to be good at West Ham.

Fornals

Positives - He plays like he cares.

Negatives - He plays like he's not very good.

Yes. IMO Fornals wasn't needed and we should have spent that money on a DM instead. That said, Fornals could be good for us if as likely Anderson and Yarm go, or at least one of them.

That obviously helps, but we definitely needed some legs in midfield.

So Soucek runs around a lot. Great. let's hope he is good at football too.

True, as I said no surprise how much ground Declan has had to cover.

Re: Some stats from Sky..
For Soucek the game was against Man City, where we had only 22% possession so it's no wonder he did so much running about.

These stats don't mean much anyway. If anything, the more a team runs the worse they are, which is why Brighton, Norwich and Bournemouth are the top 3 clubs for distance covered.

Re: Some stats from Sky..
Declan Rice has run the second furthest distance overall.. Hardly surprising.. With the midfield he's had around him.
