Alexander Godunov. Only found this out the other day he was a world famous ballet dancer and played Karl Vreski in Die Hard, one of the baddies with the long blonde hair who has the massive fight after John Mcclane kills his brother. Unfortunately he died aged 45 (Non Mcclane related) massive drink problem and hepatitis, also was in a relationship with Jacqueline Bisset for most of the 80’s.
Oh and I’d happily smash Bussell, that voice too.

As someone in his late 60s, I'd take that young slip of a girl Darcey Bussell any time.

Sonoya Mizuno, who starred in Devs recently. Lovely girl who's done a bit of ballet amongst other dance types.

I'm not a great ballet fan but I do admire Carlos Acosta. His childhood was like a Cuban Billy Elliot with gang violence

The best way to appreciate ballet is to close your eyes.

Ballet is most definitely not my thing (Opera, Musicals and C&W similarly) but did see Carlos Acosta do his thing on sufference with a girlfreiind. The music was excrutiating but he was astonishingly good.

Frankenstein's monster.
(Hollywood version - Shelley's version probably would have been good at something no-one should be good at)

Some of the best music ever written has been for ballet, by Tchaikovsky, Stavinsky etc. Don't particularly like the dancing, though; men should NEVER dance full stop. So am not a fan, the exception being Polovtsian Dances in Borodin's opera Prince Igor which I have watched a few times on Youtube

It lacks context for the reality of now.
I await a potrayal of the ennui of Covid-19 lockdown, professional footballer performance anxiety and the black hole emptiness of Dominic Cummings' eyes only using the powers of INTERPRETIVE DANCE. In tights.
Bollocks. Literally.

Debs - ballet is awful, isn't it? It just makes me snigger, all that mincing and prancing about. The rest of the time I'm cringeing. I bet those manky tights they wear absolutely stink. Gives me the creeps to think about it. They're in the same bin as circus performers. Manky, stinking costumes and clownish make-up trowelled on. Papa Lazarou weirdos. It's warped. Urgh! Those vile slip-on shoes.
Right, I'm annoyed now. Sod this subject, I'm getting a choc ice. Fucking ballet...
