Any fridge freezer engineers on here
Hello chaps I have a problem with a Samsung rsa1rptn fridge freezer problem and I'm wondering if anyone can help. The freezer stopped working and the error code says it's the temperature sensor behind the back panel inside the freezer. I got an engineer out who confirmed it and said it was happening because the seal on the fridge door is broken but the fridge and freezer have separate doors. Is what he is saying correct?

Check connector blocks at the top of the doors

Sounds like another case of broken thermostat. Try googling with model and fault, parts relatively cheap and not too difficult to replace

May as well ask. Our fridge is icing up even when turned down low. Is it fucked?

You lot are fucking hopeless

First port of call is always to wipe knob across temp sensor and it looks like the OP hasn't even bothered

Logic, if you manage to source a new sensor to fit yourself it’s an idea to take a picture of the old one in situe so that you reconnect the new one correctly.

You could try espares. They often have videos showing you how to fit parts too.

Thanks chaps, fridge seems cold enough. I thought it was a bit odd him saying the seal on the fridge door caused the fault on the freezer temperature sensor, but I guess if the seal needs replacing anyway I may as well do it. £50 nearly online for a new seal! Blimey

Re: Any fridge freezer engineers on here
The temperature sensor fault on your freezer is unconnected with the door seal on the refrigerator being leaky.

To replace the freezer sensor is comparatively easy and there are a couple of YouTube clips that show you how.

At the very least you should be able to replace the fridge door seal yourself to save a couple of bob.

I think it needs a new temperature sensor. This is located behind the back panel. You could also try replacing the seal. Failing that that, wipe your knob inside the freezer.

Sounds like it. How cold is it?
