Man City verdict today
One thing I don’t get about the Man City UEFA ban.

So they are being charged with effectively falsifying accounts to meet the financial requirements to play in the champions league, and will be banned for 2 years if their appeal is turned down. But why won’t they be disqualified from this years competition, the season they are playing in BECAUSE they cheated? Shouldn’t they be booted out of this seasons one as well?

Apparently, PL FFP was scrapped a few years back.
Why has this been used as a showstopper for our so called collapsed signings?

Yeah, but the authorities wee SEEN to be doing something about it - SEEN.

THAT is the most important aspect, to be SEEN to be tackling these problems, even if, privately it has/had already been decided (and agreed with all relevant parties) that it would not be taken any further than that. Just pretend really important stuff is going on behind the scenes.

Image is ALL. Muppets fall for it every day.

We were told that the Premier league were also carrying out THEIR investigation into Man City’s FFP breaches.
Imagine they are now trying to find the best day to announce they aren’t doing anything.
Maybe on the Bank Holiday at the end of August

Covid is leaving a lot of football out of pocket. Doesn't really make sense to remove the worlds richest club from the premier competition during these times.

I bet FIFA are actually relieved really...

Man City's pockets are so deep they would have tied the footballing world up in litigation for years. Money talks.

Not at all Sven old son... I'd love Kane (my current fav' England striker) to be given a gig at Manchester City... he'd be superb there....

Man City are in a different universe to us so who makes the Champions league is fairly irrelevant
But if a decision makes that less likely for Chelsea to make it then so be it

Means with Champions league Man City can look at signing Harry Kane.
Now THAT would outrage Soldo

Sniper,

our last 3 home games of this season were/are

Burnley
Watford
Villa

We have already fucked up one of those but if we can't win 1 out of those 3 games then we deserve to go down.

Re: Man City verdict today
It matters to us from the point of view that, had the ban stood, then 5th place would get a champions league spot.

As it stands now, Man U really have to win their remaining games for a top 4 finish. So we have 3 competitive matches left, whilst our rivals face the likes of Everton and Southampton...

Hold on, it's being drip fed out

'The Cas statement continued: "The award emphasised that most of the alleged breaches reported by the adjudicatory chamber of the CFCB were either not established or time-barred.'

So, they were either untrue, or the ones that were true had expired.

Does anyone believe this shit?

I just don’t see any problem with an owner pumping money in to his club to make them compete with the big boys.
