Q: 2022 Summer Transfer Window - How many 1st team players will we sign before August 6th
a. None as Sullivan will wait until the last week before he gets his scattergun out the cupboard
b. A couple of freebies paraded as superstars, usual hype to follow
c. I'm more optimistic as surely they know we need to strengthen, 3-4 with decent money spent.
d. Who gives a toss as we have a great squad already, I've already ordered the new replica kit, socks and all and can't wait to wear it at our first game, down the pub of course, I bleed claret & blue

Fingers crossed - starting/bench players for next year Premiership
Touching wood and anything else that may help, hopefully we will get the 3 points we need for Premiership survival.

Looking forward to next year who, of the current side, would you start with for the next campaign.

Forgetting the lesser squad members, chose only those that should be starting, with a ? for starting places to be filled by purchases.

Choose 5 others (Subs).

Here are the players I would go with::

Fabianski – Reasonable season so worth another season as our number 1 (will be 36 next season)

Fredericks – still youngish for a full back, needs to beef up a bit and improve his crossing but worth sticking with. Can improve.

Ogbonna – Fairly solid. One more year perhaps. Will be 32 next season.

Diop – Again fairly solid but still has the potential to become a great centre-back. Still Only 23.

? – Need to look for a replacement for Cresswell/ Arthur

Soucec – Looks a good acquisition.

Rice – One of our jewels. One of a couple of players we build our team around.

Diangana – Get him back as he looks a star in the making and an ideal replacement for Noble as an attacking midfielder.

Bowen – Another decent signing.

Antonio – Just his work rate alone is inspirational and drives the team on
? – Need to look for a replacement for Haller as a main striker.

Additional bench players:

Noble – His service to the club alone means he should be in and around the team for another year.

Snodgrass – Fairy adaptable and could play in one of 3 or 4 positions. Worth keeping.

Fornals – Reasonable squad player and will offer a little bit when coming on. Still only 23.
Randolph – Reasonable back up for Fab and will be happy as an understudy
? - Unlikely Haller would be happy sitting on the bench so need to look for a striker to come off the bench.
