Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
A report in German newspaper BILD  claims Eintracht Frankfurt a £5.4 million  (6 million euros) instalment from West Ham remains unpaid.

The article claims the money is still not there, although the German club filed a complaint with Fifa in June. The next instalment of the same amount is due in mid-August. The Bundesliga club is still owed 24 million euros from the Seb Haller transfer in total.

The Eintracht bosses are said to be relaxed, hoping that West Ham will transfer both the May and August rates after the end of the season.  As Claret and Hugh explained in early July the dispute over Sebastien Haller is thought to relate over a simple misunderstanding over the payment schedule.

Both sides of the dispute are citing commercial confidentially but a third party close to the original deal has told Claret and Hugh that the disagreement relates to the timing of the latest instalment payment. West Ham is thought to have paid 50% upfront with the funds from the Marko Arnautovic sale totalling £22.5m going straight to the German club as a down payment. The remaining  £22.5m is thought to have been structured over his five-year contract in instalments of £5.4m

That first payment was thought to be due in May with the Premier League season was originally due to end on 17th May,  West Ham may have interpreted the end of the season to be the 26th July thus deferring the payment until July. The second instalment was scheduled to coincide with the start of the next Premier League season which has now been delayed 12th September.

A FIFA spokesman confirmed that a complaint was raised by Frankfurt with regards to a missed payment date but that disagreement is now thought to be resolved between the two parties with a payment due to be paid in late July. West Ham will not face any sanctions over the complaint and FIFA will close their investigation once Frankfurt is paid.

Sullivan's simply following the current NHS business model - contract out selected services to whoever can do it cheapest.

Surprised he hasn't been at the forefront of abolishing the 3rd party ownership restrictions.

His end game is clearly to get players to pay to play for West Ham, not the other way around.

This is starting to smack of the Ayew deal.

Sullivan is just stoozing players. He's not interested in the club "owning" players outright, he'd field a team of 11 loans if he could.

Just hope he doesn't get repossessed just after coming on today.

Clearly just chancing their arm and looking for even more ways to make a quick few pounds. I can imagine some 3am call where they are pouring over fine print and work out how to pocket a couple of months more interest on that money followed by a lot of smug back slapping and grinning about how clever we are.

That’ll be some new gold plating for the taps in the downstairs toilet.

The fee was €45m and we paid €22.5m. That leaves €22.5m balance. I expect there's interest charges to add to a 5 year HP agreement...

Yes Griff!

#PASSTHEBATON still holds the Twitter record for least successful hashtag attempt ever I think.

Pity there wasn't a "not fit for purpose" get-out clause in the contract.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
how have we paid half the fee when the same propagandists that you quote are also saying we owe 25-30m?

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
According to C&H we paid half the €45m from the sale of Arnie and the rest in installments over the 5 years. The first payment being end of season. Eintracht Frankfurt wanted end of May and Covid demands end of July...

Simples...

Payet and Arnautovic were both pushing to leave, Payet even went on strike. Rice as far as we know isn’t. Doesn’t mean he won’t be sold but the situations are completely different

Why didn’t anyone else think of that ‘tipzzzzzz? Problem solved.

tnb- The 5 year contract is with the player not the selling club. The instalments will just be over a period of time negotiated between the two clubs.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
Not difficult. This season, we pay at trend of the season. Then, from next season, we make the payment at the start of the season. That continues at the start of each season.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
Hang on, 5.4m installments towards a 22.5m outstanding fee would be only just over 4 installments. Certainly not one in June 2020 and another two months later.

Over a five year contract if spread out evenly that would be less than one installment per year of that size.

The whole thing doesn't make sense.

Sullivan is financially fucked.
Property rich and cash knackered. He can't afford us at the moment.

This sort of thing should be taken to the next level.

We should throw a bag over Messi's head and abduct him to the London Stadium.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
We were predicted to lose about 38m if the season was cancelled, but 25m of that would have been TV revenue. So I can't see our loses being too damaging now it's being finished.

They might sell Rice, but even if we had 100m to spend, that wouldn't prevent him from going if the right club came in and he wanted to go. We couldn't hold on to Payet or Arnautovic.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
There is no chance the contract says “end of the season”. That’s like you taking out a loan with your bank and saying yeah I’ll pay you in instalments at the “end of the month”. No they’ll have an actual date of payment collection.

Johnson 12:43 Sun Jul 26
Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
I get that all clubs do instalments, don’t seem to see many if any being pulled up for losing their wallet when it comes to paying the things off though. Or the continual leaking of club financial matters through their chose lapdog outlets.

Not all clubs are owned by lying gobshite cunts though.

Re: Haller instalment remains unpaid C&P
Selling Rice to pay the rest of a player that's fucking shit would be a disaster. Definitely will happen then.

Can't we have Haller replaced under warranty or something?
