I once flew over Scotland en route to the States. Picked up the paper in Chicago the following day - turned out I'd been credited with a hat-trick for Partick Thistle.
That's how fucking easy it is in Scotland.
I made a few trips to the States that year. Finished joint top scorer in the league.

Not PL quality but pretty sure it was basically a fire sale to get some quick cash in.
No doubt master negotiator Sullivan will have ensured the relevant sell on clauses and add ons were included in his contract...........

No, he was never going to make a PL striker, but think the angst here is we may have sold him too cheap. if he's scoring every week up there then he's worth more than 5 mil to Celtic.

Why do some keep dragging this up? he was never going to make it at PL level, becouse he has scored a few in the Scottish version, which is maybe Div 1 level in England? Doesnt turn him into a 20+ goal a season Premier (English version!) league striker.

Scottish football is so shit that even when their all time record goal scorer in the league came south of the border at the peak of his career, he couldn’t even score a goal every 4 games. And then went to America and was shit. And then went back to Scotland and scored 25 goals in his first season back there
Fair play to ajeti, but you’ve got to be fucking woeful to not score a hat full if you’re playing up front for Celtic or ranger

I didn’t think Ajeti (or Hugill) were anywhere near good enough but it’s ludicrous that you would buy players and not give them one league start.
Don’t think either had a shot on target let alone came close to scoring a goal.
That list of strikers that have been through the club under GSB is crazy.

Leigh Griffiths has scored over 100 goals for Celtic.
Maybe we should look to bring him in as scoring lots of goals for by far the best side in an utterly shit league seems to be an achievement judging by some of the comments on here.
As I said the other day Jordan Hugill scoring 15 goals for an average QPR side in the championship last season is a far better achievement than scoring 25-30 for Celtic in the SPL but carry on knickerwhetting every time he scores.

It just shows what a poor deal we got. Always had ability but always under pressure, never given a proper chance playing in a team of strangers that create nothing. I'd love for him to turn into one of Europes top strikers just to annoy the board and the haters.

What we mustn’t forget is that our coaches see Ajeti every day in training.
It’s hard to pick someone that isn’t doing it or standing out in practice games.

Shit league it maybe but you still have to convert your chances. I cant think of one goalscoring chance we created for him during his 5 minute cameos.
Why the fuck you would sell him and even hugill to be left with one first team striker in the squad only the parasite owners and the dour scotsman would know.

Are we going to bump up this thread every time Ajeti scores in the Fucking shit SPL?
Celtic & Rangers are massive clubs there is no doubt about that but the league they play in is fucking shit!
They win most of their games by 3 or 4 goals.
Ajeti scored goals in the Swiss league and he will score goals in the SPL which is probably an even worse standard.
Not saying he shouldnt have been given more of a chance with us but scoring 25 goals for by far the best team in a really shit league is no vindication whatsoever that he is any good or we have made a mistake.
