GTHC Predicts, Newcastle at home
Can’t remember a start to the season like this! And not just because of the cunty virus, will we even have a manager?

Fucked if I know what will happen, hoping we defy the gloom merchants and we turn up for this a get off to a winning start for a change, with the run of fixtures coming up this is the best bet, on paper anyway.

The curse has been imposed though…the cunt!!! He’s gone 2-1 to us, will have to go the same.

.

.West Ham fans are clearly miffed about the sale of Grady Diangana to West Brom. I don't know why they sold him - how can it be for financial reasons when they have just bid about £27m for Burnley defender James Tarkowski?

Newcastle, meanwhile, come into the new season on the back of some really good signings like Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser and Jeff Hendrick. You can see what Steve Bruce is thinking - he wanted some players who know all about the Premier League.

This will be close, but I'm going with the Hammers. David Moyes has had some time to work with his team and, if they can get Tarkowski in - or someone like him - they will be safer, quicker, this time.

Lawro's prediction: 2-1

Fab

Johnson Diop Ogbonna Cresswell (sigh)

Rice Soucek

Bowen Noble Antonio

Haller

Anderson, Fornals and Yarma come on for Noble, Haller and Bowen if we need to change it up with Antonio going up top

I think this will allow us to play both Haller up top with an opportunity for Antonio to float between a top 2 pairing with Ant and Haller and 2 wide options of Bowen and Antonio cutting in

Wilson hasn’t played in preseason has he?
Fraser hasn’t kicked a ball since March when he gave up at Bournemouth
We saw the Norwich full back a while back ... having his arse handed to him as we smashed them 4-0 & should have had 8
The rest of Newcastle lost at home to Stoke last Saturday

What about this for a West Ham midfield. George Parris, Ronnie Boyce and Declan Rice.
Chicken, Ticker and Rice.*

That time of a Saturday evening I'm usually ready to sit and relax with Mrs CHL and watch a bit of 'Justified' or similar. The way things are looking, I'll probably stick to that routine this weekend, too.

It's the end of days for the club unless something really fundamental changes, I'm afraid. Add in the 'taking the knee' bollocks, and it's not hard to see why so many have had it with the game altogether right now.

Season's target: safety.

Lawro's got that bit right.

We still have no full backs, our er number 10 is Mark Noble and our only striker worthy of the name is as 32 year old injury prone winger with an arse the size of my Aunty Olives.
We are totally fucked

Absolutely no chance if you look at the omens etc.

Soucek is available though and assuming him, Rice or Antonio don't get an injury and assuming we don't get a baffling referee or VAR decision go against us ( yes we were bottom of the table with Wolves for net VAR decisions against last season) we might at least give them a game.

Mind you, Wilson will probably get a hat trick ably assisted by shambolic defending by one of Cresswell ( most likely) , Fredericks ( next most likely just ) or Diop .

Add to all that teh curse of GTHC.

We're fvcked :-(
