"If you're going to try to improve the level of women's football surely you then start having some male referees to ensure that at least the game is played according to its laws."
Fifth, are you sure? After some of the most braindead decisions by refs in the men's game?
To wit, the non red card for Carroll and his fucking elbows not just once but fucking twice and the cunt is still on the field
I'm sure some male refs are not fit for purpose

Also, there are an elite group of players who are genuinely really good players eg Lucy Bronze, Miedema at Arsenal etc. But it seems that runs to about 20 players in the world right now.

The worst thing about it isn't the quality of play, not even the keepers. The worst thing is the referees. They literally appear not to know the laws in some cases. If you're going to try to improve the level of women's football surely you then start having some male referees to ensure that at least the game is played according to its laws.

I would like to see at what level in the mens game they are. The top team playing, a conference side or maybe someone from a little lower. I'm guessing they are at county standard at very best.

I think they should put together a compilation of female goalies and stick it on a comedy channel. They are seriously horrendous.
And the commentators need to stop trying to convince us that a goal was brilliant when we all know it was average at best.

bruuuno I'm glad you support my my motion to the board.
So it's unanimous, Woman's Football Association get them skirts shortened and increase the budget for makeup and stuff to make the girls all pretty for the boys and we got a winner.

It’s actually a very good way of encouraging girls to get into sport other than boring netball

I don't know what's more alarming the rampant misogyny of women hatred being expressed by posters here and it's not all just from goose... or the woeful lack of understanding of basic marketing by the female football orgs.
If anyone was serious about increasing attendances for the women's game (kind of a moot point in our new globalised normal but hey), then all they'd need to do is wear shorter skirts and tighter tops and promise to swap shirts at the end of the game.
It would be popular among all the young boys glad to cop a glimpse of some fine titties and there'd be far less of that fish stinking air of lesbianism that unfortunately permeates the ladies game these days and it would also serve as an educational program for young girls to aspire to and learn how to attract a man in more traditional healthy way than whatsapping your cunt and budding tits to a social dating app website, perhaps some home cooking classes for the young girl fans after the game, that kind of thing.

I was watching the game until then. Absolute joke sending off, along with a string of decisions and yellow cards in the first 25 minutes. Arsenal are already streets ahead of West Ham and most teams in the women's game. (Actually the imbalance in the game is a total joke)
Quite why the refs feel the need to give them so much help by penalising the opposition every time they go near a player or try to talk to the ref I have no idea...

Willtell, like it or not it is growing in popularity, what have you got against womens football? You don't have to watch it.

It seems like every time BBC programmes go to sports news they bring us news on women's football as if people are actually wanting this stuff.
Why does the BBC promote an unpopular sport?

Just seen the highlights of our match.
Fell completely apart after our captain was sent off (2nd yellow) for disputing the lack of an offside decision, in the lead up to Arsenal's second goal.
It was offside.
Nevertheless, it's a poor excuse for how bad the defence was.

You fancy turkey basters?
There is no reason for a lesbian desiring to be pregnant to have sex with a bloke. The method of injecting semen into the vagina with a baster or euivalent is 22% more likely to be successful.

I WOULD enjoy it, if the West Ham Women were winners more often than the blokes.
Watching our lot just doubles the agony.

I enjoy it, I just like watching West Ham so appreciate having more games to watch. It’s refreshing that you don’t see as much diving like in the men’s game. Plus Alica Lehman is one magnificent woman, I’d happily be the surrogate jiz supplier for her and her mrs

Macho? Anything but.
Real men are successful enough to be able afford a TV with more than one channel. All these poor drips forced to watch their one channel showing womens oh sorry wimmins football whilst those of us with TVs with more than one channel view what we want.

It's not as bad as you want it to be.There have been big losses in men's football to, so get over it. Nevertheless, why not just leave them alone. Are they hurting you so bad, or are just so macho?
