Sullivans West Ham way doesn't work
Matt Dickenson, Chief Sports Writer in The Times today.

Worth reading but sullivan a meddler who can't keep his fingers out and who takes a difficult job and makes it so much harder. There is always someone else to blame.

West Hams scouting and recruitment has been a mess for some time not least because sullivan likes to add his own idiosynchranatic decisions to the mix, sitting in his Essex mansion playing Football Manager for real. Good read and very believable.

I will be so glad when we are rid of him!!

I do believe Baroness bullshit had/has an agenda to get rid of the old school supporters from the moment she strolled in.
I believe 100% she regards us as shit on her rather expensive shoes..

That's a sad read indeed.

I too know at least 20 people who feel exactly the same.

It all boils down to how GSB are running ( ruining) the club.

They must be somehow forced out.

That’s sad reading Chav!
There is hope Jim, the short porno is old and cannot out last most of us.
I would say your list can be much shorter, the board must put a properly qualified and experience person in to put the plan and infrastructure that a club of our size, 18th richest club in the world! (apparently) should have.

You are correct that Everton are ambitious and their owner has bit of nous.
However, it has come about at a cost of £150m-£200m of his own money invested into the club. You know thats not going to happen at West Ham under these owners. And as I said previously, it never happed at spurs either.Netherthe less that does not excuse our lot when you see club like Palace with an income of at least £40m less being a better run club.

Terry-h:"What baffles me is why mug West Ham fans hand over their hard earned cash to these three pilfering shitbags running the club when they know nothing is going to change."

As one of the mug West Ham fans who hand over their hard-earned cash, I agree with you. I don't know why I do it either. After nearly 60 years I find it hard to let go. I was definitely not going to renew this season, but did, mainly because allowing for last season's rebate it only cost me about £190. I regret it already. With any luck, I'll see a game or two before the end of the season, get most of my money back, and then give it all up. That's the plan, anyway.

I bet Sully still thinks Don't Look Back In Anger is No1 on the hit parade. He is so stuck in the 90's.

Like Ken Bates at Chelsea - he would sign all the old lags for one last payday on huge wages. Guillit and Zola were fantastic but like the old Redknapp hit ratio for every one that worked 2 or 3 disasters like Winston Bogarde would clog up the reserve team.

The Everton owners made mistakes with Silva & bad signings and what have they done?
Acknowledged their mistakes, gone for a top quality manager & back him with players

Sullivan has made mistake after mistake, blamed EVERYONE else , told us about how depressed he is and continued to run the club in a laughably incompetent way.
The cunt needs to go before he finishes our club for good

Rumford, at least Everton are ambitious and their chairman has a bit of nous.

Difference between us & them....
Whilst Sullivan was re-employing Moyes they were hiring Ancelloti.
They are now top of the Prem and we are in the relegation places, again.

Sullivan loves winding the fans up.but i will say this when an old day ends, a new day starts. And your days are coming to a end very soon.

Yes there is more than one way to progress a club/team .Spurs made progress under Pochettinos 6 year tenure without Joe Lewis spending his own money.
On the otherhand Everton ,with a revenue similar to ours, have wasted a even more than us on players over the past few years but have been subsidised by their owner Moshiri and billionare partner Usmanov, despite posting a loss of £119m in 2019.

Comma

I disagree I think we like other teams can climb the table with good recruiting and a plan.

Something that’s been missing. I think we are so desensitised to how badly run things are we think it’s all about the money.

Also having owners that players and fans trust is very important. If the fans know that the owners are in a transition period and are sticking to a plan then we are less likely to get on the players backs when we don’t play well.

At the moment it’s all a constant negative.

A PLAN, STRUCTURE, TRUST & GOODWILL

again, you're confusing their lies about a non achievable next level to most fans expectations of a possible mid table finish and trying to win a cup, or at least try to win a cup

Re: Sullivans West Ham way doesn't work
If foreigners buy us it’s likely that they will have the same intention as our present owners insofar as keeping us in the EPL.

They might do it in a different, more fan friendly, way though. Whoever eventually buys us would have to spend a fortune to make us regularly competitive at the top of the table.

if it ever does get sold, it's going to be a tough job for whoever takes over but I still think the potential is massive under the right owners

Re: Sullivans West Ham way doesn't work
Well, exactly. I wasn't suggesting we scrap the Academy was I? Just stating the obvious in that it's not what it was. Lampard Jr, Johnson, Joe Cole, Carrick. Defoe... etc Now, these days, that WOULD be cash cow. Or, better still, a fantastic West Ham team.

But we can't seem to hit those highs as often anymore. Poor scouting, crap facilities, poor coaching, a preference for "prestige" foreign buys. There's no end to what's wrong with the club.

Takashi Miike 10:07 Sat Sep 26
Re: Sullivans West Ham way doesn't work
so what's your solution, geoffrey? also get rid of all the youth teams because they've only produced one player to go for a decent fee since tomkins? no, you either employ better scouts & youth coaches or better still, sell the club because you don't know what you're doing
