Let’s give David Moyes some credit
All the crap he is putting up with and doing well.
Great displays against Arsenal and Wolves.
Good end to last season to keep us up.

Happy days enjoy it!

Also I hated the backroom team of Nolan and Pearce, felt too much like a Fat Sam team. But clearly Father Ted is the boss number 2 and I like his non flash manner and his experience especially with younger players.
It is a good back up team and they should know how important cup games are and fighting to play our better 11 in them.

Fucksake.

With recent formations and the grace of Antonio and Fabs,
seeing a positive goal difference and sitting mid table when the WHO poll shows the majority thought we would be fucked with our opening run of games. I have to think, fair play the cod eyed silver fox.

Still think stank of desperation coming back, by both board and his integrity but just maybe, just maybe he wanted to prove us cunts wrong.

IF he can get Haller fired up and playing to his potential if Antonio is out , AND a win against Liverpool, I will give him credit.

tin hat* I still rated and like MP.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
Couldn't believe it when they reappointed him, it was against 95% of supporters wishes.

He's done alright lately and at least they run about now and show some effort. I'm happy to eat humble pie and for him to stay and hopefully oversee a takeover, then we can think about his position and the next level.

Yeah obviously any cunt who wants us to compete in cup games instead of throwing them is a "Spud" (cringe) fan.
You're one simple moron.

Unchilled you only seem happy when we are losing, l reckon your a spud fan!
Most posters on here seem to give credit to the Moyesiah even if its bit begrudgingly, don't think many of them are prepubescent anorak nerds.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
easthammer, at the time I thought Pellegrini was an upgrade too, but at this point last season we had played

Man City
Brighton
Watford
Norwich
Villa
Man Utd

2 of which had been relegated, 1 that only stayed up on the final day of the season.

So far this season we have played:

Newcastle
Arsenal
Wolves
Leicester
Spurs
Man City

Of which only Newcastle did not finish in the top 8 last season.

Agree though, he might now be facing one of those challenges if Antonio gets sidelined for a long time as so far he's had some good luck on the injury front.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
Considering he's the worst manager in the country working for the worst owners in the country, he's done well of late. Let's hope ginge keeps it up.

Re: Let’s give David Moyes some credit
Didn't want him the first time. Thought he got a rough deal when he wasn't kept on but thought Pellegrini was an upgrade (just shows what I know). Surprised Moyes came back, there was a whiff of desperation on both sides I fancy. Pleased with how he kept us up and the signings he has made. Thought he definitely warranted a go this season. So far, so good.

He deserves some credit for getting us playing to a pattern with a better shape particular at the back.

His real test I fear is about to come.
At this point, last season under Pellegrini we had more points and were higher in the league. Fab gets injured and Pellegrini's judgement fails on the goalkeeping front and we loose to sides we should have beat.

Moyes may be faced with "managing" the use of a tired and damaged Antonio.
How he goes about that will be a big test. For example, should he play him against Liverpool or save him for the easier games. If he does rest him or if he is not fit will he insist Haller plays up front on his own (which imo Haller can't do ) Does Moyes have a plan B. and will it work? If he does and it works he will deserve a lot of credit.

Never understood this need for a manager to be either the messiah or a total fool.

Moyes is doing well now. Just have to see how he goes.

“But it amazes me that there are blokes on here that won't give credit where credit is due”

Goose honestly believes that we’d be in a better state had we kept Pellegrini.
