I didn't realise he came on as a sub for the 2015/16 Liverpool game, so that's a particularly great memory for him to have.

Great message. He’s going to a very good club, too. All good luck to him.

Re: Josh Cullen goodbye message
That's an autobiography, not a message.

Good luck to the kid. So near yet so far, I know how gutting that can be.

Re: Josh Cullen goodbye message
That is a lot of life that young man has spent with our club. I will definitely keep an eye open for his progress at Anderlecht.

It's good to know that our youngsters hold us in such high regard and that we do a good job of looking after them.

I seem to remember Jack Collison writing a good piece a few years back.

In a strange tangental way I think this makes the Diangana transfer harder to bear. It is so hard to make it through the academy and then we sell them.

Shuffles off shaking head.

Wow what a powerful story.

Appreciative of what opportunity he has and has had.

Feet firmly on the ground.

Good luck Josh.

Always a Hammer.

Re: Josh Cullen goodbye message
If Josh himself didn’t want to go, and was willing to work and wait for his chance, then it is disgraceful selling him for peanuts, because he was definitely good enough to be in the squad. If he wanted more assurances of first team football and felt he has a better chance at Anderlecht, then fair enough and good luck to the man.

It’s a really good farewell message and shows his character and his love of West Ham. That was already evident from the memory of seeing him have his front teeth knocked out, blood pissing out his mouth, all the while he was straining at the leash to get back on the pitch in his underwear.

I’m gutted he didn’t make it with us, the more I think about it. I hope in future he shows us up for lack of faith.

Not too proud to say that brought a tear to my eye.. Seems like a great lad and clearly loves this club as much as we do. I hope he returns once he has proved he can make it at the highest level with Anderlecht...

Good luck to him.. He deserves it.

Re: Josh Cullen goodbye message
classy statement, and a great move for him. Huge club, massive history and when you look at the players they've churned out in recent years - Kompany, Lukaku, Tielemans etc - it's still a very good place to develop.

No surprise to see the people he thanks. They're all part of the old West Ham that we could be proud of. No surprise to see the people he doesn't.
