Team for Manchester Citeh'
Surely we can't change a winning team?

--- Fabs ---
- Vlad the Impaler - General - Og - Cress - Masuaku -
--- Dec - Tommy the Killer ---
- Bowen - Beast - Fornals -

The Jewel deserves an honorary sub appearance, still think Fornals gets in the team as he will be better at pressing City.

Maybe could put Diop ahead of General.

Looks like I was right with the team selection today but Yarmalenko had an absolute shocker. Benrahma may well take that spot next match if he trains well.

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Apparently Antonio is 100% so, yep has to be same again

Fabianski
Balbuena Ogbonna Cresswell
Coufal Soucek Rice Masuaku
Bowen Fornals
Antonio

I agree with Ironskej, most likely change is Diop to get a chance to reclaim his pre covid place back.
Benrahma to come on from the bench, when we’re 2-0 up.
Seriously I think we have a great chance of winning today.

FCJ - fair enough.

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Yep, you are right fraser as it is a waste when the team has so many other positions that could do with genuine quality that keep getting ignored.

That said, he is here and part of the team so I want him to do well. There is no personal vendetta. I just don't think he walks into the squad - especially when it's doing ok in a tricky run of fixtures. Not sure who I'd drop off the bench to include him if the purpose of subs is to provide injury cover as well as the ability to change formation or style of play.
Lanzini would have been the more obvious player to drop out for me but can you drop him when he has just had a massive boost of confidence and earnt us a point?

FCJ - You've been against this Benrahma signing from the off and convinced Moyes didn't want him.

Give it up..

I'd be amazed if he isn't on the bench.

Sullivan can pick a player though tbf

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Really? Drop a player who has at least equal ability and more experience, strength and influence over a Sullivan player who has had a week or so with his team mates and no premier league experience. I can think of easier games to get Benrahma settled into the league. It's not like we've signed Messi.

I would start the same side that last torn wolves and Leicester to shreds, but I would change it much sooner if it’s not working out and definitely give bananarama some time.

They have lots of injuries and have played midweek so there is hope of something here! Optimism, but as always grounded.

Zero chance of Benrahma not being at least on the bench. I'd guess Yarmalenko to miss out.

I'd be very surprised big we left our new 20-30m signing out of the squad.

Subs bench is a lot more interesting debate at moment

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Team picks itself. Lanzini and Yarma have to be options given the last match. One of Snodgrass or Noble as cover for centre mid and Haller as the striker replacement and we need defenders as cover in case of injuries. Benrahma wouldnt make my squad yet. Competition for places which is good. Shame the youngsters are pushed out the squad despite not doing much wrong.

Exile, who would have thought making the bench would be hard? Easier for the Moyes to leave out Fredricks or Diop but tough calls to be made with everyone fit.

Yes, we're not going to keep a clean sheet, but we've been scoring for fun. There will be goals, for sure, and I feel we have a good chance of getting something from the game.

I'm trying to convince myself that now is a good time to play them, but our record versus Guardiola is:

P 10 - W 0 - D 0 - L 10
Scored: 4
Conceded: 34

Blimey.

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
No, we're due a shit performance and they're due a good on. The stars will align and we'll take a slap. We will concede at least three I reckon.

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Fortunes - you know full well what I mean. We tried to bring him back too quickly in previous seasons and it fucked him for a long time.

If you want me to be more accurate "if he appears to lack full fitness in any manner and in particular in relation to his hamstring or other muscle based injuries then we should not risk him".

You must be fun at parties.

Re: Team for Manchester Citeh'
Given the fact that over the last 10 years we've been on the receiving end of numerous Citeh thrashings is anybody slightly optimistic about tomorrow's game?

I don't want to tempt fate but I can felt a slight tingle in my water this morning.

Is it possible we can give it a good go without feeling humiliated again?

I'm saying yes...ish
