SEN School Staff around my way have apparently been sent letters from the NHS inviting staff to book vaccine appointments by all accounts. Wondering if the Government are going cloak and dagger on this just to get schools open as I assumed they were all lower down the list.

They definitely are. My sister works in a nursery and one kid went in with it, and they then passed it on to a load of other kids and staff who went home and passed it on to all their families. (My sister got it and then so did my brother in law) And then anyone they’d seen and anywhere they’d been. You can see how it spreads so fucking quickly, and all before anyone showed any symptoms.

Queue jumping for vaccines is pretty low, especially as SOME teachers (my ex being one) have no problem telling everyone what’s ‘right’ and ‘wrong’ with the government and all public services. But that said, fuck being a teacher right now. They are not in an enviable position at all, having to trust 30 sets of parents at the least to all be responsible and do the right thing.

No idea about social distancing and they don't even get ill so just take it home with them to give to mum and dad who in turn give it to THEIR mums and dads?

It was the government that decided to close the schools not teachers. Boris Johnson admitted that the were a significant vector for infection that, in turn, spread to older generations. Schools have done what the government have asked them to do at every turn.

True in most cases, but of course every old drug was once a new drug, and will have been prescribed to patients when it was at exactly the same stage of development as the covid vaccines.

The pharma industry knows exactly who the 'early adopter' medics are. Some are very keen to try any new products. Not all tell their patients that they are getting something brand new for obvious reasons.

If it's any consolation, the vast majority of drugs that were new over the last 25 years are not just still in use, but have become the 'tried and tested old drugs' that are often the mainstay of treatment now.

That's not true though bolty. People haven't got a clue what they are taking, but all of a sudden everyone is an expert despite knowing fuck all.

These are the same cunts that are moaning about lockdown and restrictions etc, so we dropped every thing else, worked eighteen hour days and spent millions, to get it sorted. Now cunts are saying they don't want it.

Bell, of course not.

The caveat to that, is the medication prescribed is usually a drug that has been in use for many, many years.

This vaccine has been developed within a year which we're being told we NEED to have or face staying in this shit situation for god knows how long.

I'd be happy to have it, but I can understand why people are a little nervous.

Also, I think due to the amount of shit being posted around Social Media hasn't helped the cause either. Had this been asked of people before the age of SM there would be very, very little resistance, IMO of course.
