The article was about Mourinho being in charge at Spurs for a year, but I was surprised that West Ham were second bottom of the table in points taken in that year. I think it also shows Southampton’s position is not false.

Another perspective is that we have taken 23pts from the 17 games since the restart which over the course of a season would give us around 51pts

Saints doing very well. I thought we might have monitored James Ward-Prowse a few years ago as the ideal replacement for Mark Noble. Too late now, and we have Dec and Soucek, but JWP was an underrated all-round midfielder for a good few seasons.

This includes the period that we had a clown in goal, so no surprise really.
Good point about Southampton, he’s transformed them into a hard working and good to watch outfit.
