January shopping list
|
1. A New striker - expect Haller to be moved on. 2. Midfield as backup to Rice/Soucek 3. Left/Right wingback(s) - expect Fredericks to be moved on. 4. Backup CB, Diop to be moved on for the right price.
Expect the usual disappointment on delivery.

I'd be surprised if anyone pays what Sullivan will want for Haller.

Story is inaccurate. It is a sell to buy policy. Shift haller first.

He's never actually had a serious injury, his injury record is no where serious as Antonio's is. https://www.transfermarkt.com/joshua-king/verletzungen/spieler/91059

So we're looking to bring in someone who has injury troubles as back up for Michail "hamstrings made from cotton threads" Antonio?

I've seen people saying King is shit because he hasn't scored in the championship so far but I'd say that's very unfair as he's had troubles with injuries and isn't probably very motivated to be playing championship games in his prime age having proved himself in the pl.

I'm glad people are starting to wake up with the whole Cresswell and Masuaku partnership.
I've always thought it's obvious that we've doubled up there as neither are good enough to nail down that place.

“ Unfortunately vexed that formation doesn’t work against all oppositions.
That was clear to see in the villa game where moyes changed it at half time.”
We changed formation to make Haller /benrahma work attacking wise , not because of how Villa played. In fact we rode are luck against them with a back 4 ( we were dreadful defensively).
I cant see us getting a left back because creswell / masuaku partnership is too valuable for us. Creswell is doing pretty well for us right now,,
Why are people so obsessed with 4 4 2? I don’t understand. Like it’s the default way to play football. Why?
If it’s more attacking then how did we put 7 goals against wolves and Leicester without reply? And how is it we have scored in every game I think?

Neither Blackburn or Brentford are going to cash in on their strikers in January. As if the SPIVS were willing to cough up the money necessary for them.!

Moving on Haller to get Josh King would be so retarded it’s not true
King had 0 goals and 0 assists in 5 apps in league below, scored less than Haller last year in PL
And bonus of 3 years older
If you’re going to move him on it has to be Armstrong imo, thriving in championship.
As others have said a good left back so we can play 4 at the back and CM cover
In reality I expect, josh king and that’s it

We’d need more than just a left back to play a back 4, can’t speak for Coufal cos haven’t seen him in one but the rest have shown they just aren’t good enough to play it.

It would be nice to have players that can adapt to either system, but we don’t have that luxury.

Why would we wont to change the formation after finally finding one that works?
If you go to a back 4 then you probably need to buy a left back, a right back and a centre back to be competent.
Our fans are stupid.

Pfizer infused popcorn
A natural goalscorer / CF. Someone who can occasionally score more than 8 yards out?
Someone with a bit more vision in MF. Feeding ball to flanks / walloping cross to non CF is NOT a viable strategy long-term.

Because we want a left back who can play in a back 4 We are currently using Cresswell & Masuaku together as neither are capable of that. Means we are short of a player elsewhere
