Haller - Gone To Ajax
We're becoming a good side now. Relegation should'nt be a problem now, but to kick on to a solid top 10 side Moyes has to solve the problem with Haller. He doesn't do anything particularly well. Yes he'll score every now and then but as an all round prom striker - very poor indeed.

Shame, but he's not up to the job and will hold us back from progressing.

I honestly would have us down as title contenders had we kept Seb.

Haller scores again for Ajax, this time against their great rivals PSV.

I’ve lumped on him for first goal scorer in the big one against PSV tomorrow.

Come on Seb!

I did say “You could say...” I was just comparing what we have in place of Haller over that season for similar amounts of money.
I get you don’t agree, fine. I can certainly live with that.

But Moyes has said we had no intention of selling him that window but an offer came in.. The other two were the window before they're not connected

Fraser, put it as you wish, around 40M spent on those 3 and 20M came in from Haller that season. It’s a good exchange however you look at it. Moyes as other priorities, sorting out the team first and cover second. Let’s face it Moyes is doing a very good job. A good forward is expensive and difficult to be sure about. Moyes has a history of being slow to pay for a forward. I would like cover up front as well, but here we are and we are doing fucking well!

His agent told him to follow the money and he did what he was told like a good little lapdog.

The bloke never really wanted to be here... some very skillful flourishes from him but I'm glad we got rid and he has gone somewhere where he wants to play.

The mardy cunt

Mex - That isn't what happened at all, they both joined a window earlier.

But the fact is we sold him and left ourselves even shorter up front than we already were, and still haven't replaced him, still have no proper cover up front.

You could say we sold Haller and got Benrahma or Soucek and Coufal instead. It’s a no brainer isn’t it.

Re: Haller - Gone To Ajax
I hated him playing for us and was glad when he left. That said, he always had a goal in him and the fee we got for him will most likely end up looking low. I won't wish him good luck either, I couldn't give a fuck how his luck goes.

10 league goals in 48 league games isn't a bad record for a PL striker. not great but not awful.

not £40m worth of good but the fee isn't his fault.

It just proves he's not a Premier League standard footballer, and couldn't cope with the league.

Anyone with half a brain would know this, I'd have thought being an ANALYST you'd have picked up on this.

Re: Haller - Gone To Ajax
As many mention , he was not suited to the role he played for us where he was asked to hold the ball up and play as a single striker and linked to that was the problem he had dealing with the pace and physicality of the Premiership.

Being slow is one thing which can be compensated for ,to some extent, by having the strength to hold off opponents and protect the ball. He could not either. Seemed so lightweight.

He probably plays better in a pair and playing off someone else who leads the line physically etc.

Sometimes the "fit" just does not work. If he came back to the Premiership and was not playing for one of the top 3 or 4 , he would similarly struggle IMHO.

Good for him that he is doing well in the Eredivisie league. Was painful watching him suffer both for the team and himself.

He'd have probably got on the end of a few of those crosses in the first half last night. All academic as we won comfortably, but he could have probably nicked a few.

To me he looked like a bloke playing pub football on a sunday morning hungover to fuck, down the local park, who during the game realises that he has left the gas cooker back on at home.

Let me make it simple for a thick cunt like you.

Some posters on here are stating that Haller is out and out shit. Yes he had shit games for us towards the end (mitigating circumstances to be considered) but he had good games as well. It has been proven by by his recent scoring record he is not shit.

Very simple.

You sound bitchy. Have you got a few posters up on your bedroom wall of Haller ?
