19 games gone 20 points clear of relegation.
Have we ever been this comfortable in the Prem with half the games completed...???

I'm sure some stato will confirm or deny!

With you there, Chigwell.

When looking at results from other matches, still looking at teams below us to lose, so we are further away from relegation, rather than looking to gain ground on teams above us.

So, today. Risk tempting fate, by hoping Fulham turn over Man United? Or hope Man Utd win, to help our survival?

Relegation points spread betting, still 33 - 34.5 for 18th place. Has been that for a few months.

Yep always checking how far from relegation we are.. I dream of looking up and daring to hope that we could break into that top 7 or 8...

Yarmalenko would get it.

And rightly so.

It would be harder to dig anyone out but more because we have not been losing many games. First down turn in form though the usual percentage of intellectually challenged fans would identify their scapegoats along with Moyes returning to his previous status as a dour, dinosaur manager. Lanzini, Fornals, Yarmalenko and Noble would be in the frame or facourites for scape goats I would suspect?

With Haller out of the club, i don't think there is a player in the squad that the fans would dig out at the moment.were they able to attend

I think if the fans get nervy I think it can get to the players on the pitch., Same way the fans can get behind the team. It must work both ways. Not saying it has a massive impact but there has o be some effect.

I don't buy into this no fans are helping, I just don't see it.

If the players can't respond to a few moans from 100 metres away without going into their shells, we're not the team some think we are.

Interesting that the teams form has been pretty good in the period with no fans in the ground. There have been a couple of games where I could see the supporters getting on the teams back or getting edgy and nervy. Once fans are back hopefully the support will be there as fans as well as being a help can be a hindrance.

Well which one are you talking about? If the name of the top flight changes next season will you forget our history again?

The basis for comparing "most points ever," changed from the 1981/82 season, with 3 points for a win was introduced. The Premier League started from 1992/93. There have been a lot more Premier League seasons with 3 points for a win, than with the top flight called anything else.

Commentator said last night it was the most points we've ever had at this stage of a Premier League season. Never thought I'd be saying that after the Newcastle home game!

Tempting to say "Seven Games from Doom".

But I won't. That would be too silly.

The mindset of a long-term (and experienced) Hammers fan: how close are we to relegation?
