Congratulations Algeria
Congratulations to defending champions Algeria for qualifying for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations with a 5-0 victory over Botswana last night.

It will be interesting to see how Benrahma gets on in the finals next January given he didn't manage to score any goals in six qualifying games against the footballing giants of Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. What a player!

Re: Congratulations Algeria
Was reading about something called the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup which will be held in Qatar as a test event 12 months before the World Cup. This will then be followed by the Africa Cup of Nations early in 2022.

Obviously this affects Benrahma of Algeria and one of our potential targets En Nesyri of Sevilla and Morocco

The tournament dates are:
FIFA Arab Cup- Nov 30 to Dec 18 2021
Africa Cup of Nations- Jan 9 to Feb 6 2022

Thats basically two months plus of unavailabilty in the middle of the season

Oh and Reuters in Feb of this year ran am article about the case Trump is facing. If she proves she wasn't defaming him for saying he raped her then even you can work out what that means.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
We could go 3rd today....putting the pressure on Leicester to get that place back off us when they next play a Premier league match.

Doesn't that seem. a bit mad and certainly what none of us expected after our opening day defeat.

Screw what Spurs are doing, piss poor team of wannabes with a manager past his best.

and Benrahma in the 90th minute scores the winner.
______-

No chance. Moyes will have hauled him off by the 65th minute at the latest. Another reason for his lack of goals.

Chim Chim Cha boo is exactly right. How sad to watch a team you supposedly support, wanting a player to do bad.

Imagine we somehow get to a cup final next year and Benrahma in the 90th minute scores the winner... imagine having any feeling other that overwhelming joy. Yet COYI may well celebrate, but he’d be partly gutted too.

I don’t think he should be vilified. I honestly believe he really deserves our pity.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
He’ll deffo score & create goals given the opportunity.
At the moment I don’t think we get him in the final third with the ball at his feet often enough.

Curbs said the same thing about tevez when he took over - lots of good things but we want him doing those good things 20 yards from goal not 40 yards from goal.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
I think you may be right, Chigwell. Watching his goals over the years, he doesn’t seem to be a goal scorer. Plenty of them are penalties or tap ins.

I like him as a player, though. The ability to hold the ball up and get past defenders is important for transitioning from defence to attack. And he will chip in with some assists.

Like Pablo, he’s not a world beater, but he is a good honest, hard-working player.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
Benrahma is not a goal scorer - I can't imagine him getting more than 5 or 6 in a full season in the PL. It doesn't mean he's not a valuable player to have in your squad. I'd like to see him on the right as a winger, because he is fast and has enough tricks to reach the goal-line and cross.

There's something seriously wrong with you, COYI. Definitely a screw loose in the self-awareness department - you're coming over as a massively obsessed, one-track-minded arsehole and it really isn't a good look.

Come on mate. You know that type of opinion is not allowed on WHO. You can't be 'on the fence'. This is a place of extremes. It's either all or nothing.

So take your common sense somewhere else!

Re: Congratulations Algeria
I love these threads on WHO (and they occur regularly) where some 'football expert' weirdo cunts a new player off (Micky Antonio the shopping trolley is a great example) then does nothing for years except follow his every move in every game praying that he misplaces a pass so he can report it gleefully on here.

What a great way that must be to watch your team in what's supposed to be your leisure time eh?

Seek help you mental cunt.

all of our players are good players, some are very good, others are excellent whilst others are brilliant,

the only shit at our club is the attitude of some supporters and attitude of some directors,

for instance if one calls oneself 'come on you irons',be that

Re: Congratulations Algeria
People just can't accept I am right about Benrahma. He is not a Premier League or International level player.

This above sums you up perfectly. You make a statement that is blatantly false. Benrahma IS a Prem player and IS an international. Or do facts not matter in that eroded brain of yours?

Now stop. You having no friends is not our fault.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
How many goals did Lingard score against the mighty San Marino from 10 shots... Must be shit..

That was one game and Lingard has scored 5 goals in 7 games for West Ham since we signed him on loan in January. Benrahma has not scored all season for club or country.

Not comparable whatsoever.

Re: Congratulations Algeria
Didnt realise Algeria were defending champions ... so they've been winning.
And qualified again ... more winning
Meanwhile Benrahma has started 11 Premier league games .... 7 wins 3 draws & 1 defeat

Winning , thats what I do ....
