I'm with Hugh: Lawrie Leslie was the man. Anyone else remember the night game where Tommy Doc opened up Leslie's scalp with his studs?

Never see Pat Dwyer's name crop up these days - not Scots, but next best thing. The only West Ham 'keeper I've seen score direct from a clearance.

Tom McAlister second choice goalkeeper to Phil Parkes, he was one of the very few keepers that kept a double clean sheet against the Liverpool side that had Rush, Barnes and Aldridge from what I believe.

Re: hammers scottish goalkeepers
These aren’t Jocks, and they might not be goaldefending but they are interesting

2. Mark de Man

You really could not design a more apt name for a footballer. Mark De Man is Belgian and plays for KSC Hasselt

3. Peter Pander

He is a German football official who has had dealings with Vfl Wolfsburg and more recently Borussia Monchengladbach.

Re: hammers scottish goalkeepers
Well, if it’s not restricted to Jockos

Norman Conquest, was a goalkeeper, unfortunately remembered for shipping 17 goals in one game. However his invasive name more than makes up for his abilities.

Re: hammers scottish goalkeepers
This thread is clearly the focus of HAMMERS of SCOTTISH nationality.

It would be wrong of me to post off-topic replies that could ruin the continuity of discussion.

He didn’t sign, but I remember St Mirren stopper Campbell MONEY being heavily linked. Unfortunately the Buddies keeper never made it south.

Re: hammers scottish goalkeepers
He played most of his career in the 70's tho…...and he wasn't Scottish neither!

Re: hammers scottish goalkeepers
I am shocked and saddened that my thread on Goalkeepers was deemed unworthy for discussion on a football forum.

Maybe I should try one on strikers?

I'm sure bluey wouldn't mind you adding Non-Scottish keepers on this thread
