Which particular woke brigade are you referring to - those who don't think the colour of an actress is of any fucking interest or relevance at all, or those who wank themselves into a lather because they do?

I wasn't really for it but gave it a go tonight.
Its bloody stupid. Under 5 minutes then switched it off Anne Boleyn wasnt black. She was white. End of. Couldn't take it seriously.

They should have got Harvey Weinstein to play Henry (yes I know he is in prison!) but probably the right looks and size for the role, alongside maybe Ricky Gervais as the Court Jester. Waiting for the #Me To sticker on the beheading block at the end!

I have an idea.
In order to take this to its logical conclusion, when a film needs say three actors to portray the same character at different ages, perhaps they could get an Asian person to play the character at one age, a caucasian the next and finish off with a black person for the third stage for true diversity?

As a kid, I was left really distraught when my history teacher told me that Anne Boleyn was beheaded at the Tower of London for an act of treason.

I was at the National Gallery yesterday and I swear that I am not making this up but I saw a black girl who must have been about 16 say to her (white) pal 'most of these pictures have been whitewashed. Originally these people were black but white people have painted over them to change history'.
It seemed to escape her that we were in the North German and Flemish renaissance gallery!
It's genuinely the first time that I have personally come across this new Woke mentality and I think it's more funny than dangerous. Silly bint!
