‘Yes, you are white and you believe you are the victim of a system that discriminates against you because you are white.

We get it, but you get this - it's bollocks because all it is the law, and the schools and the institutions and all the challenges of normal adult life not necessarily going your way just because you are white, you are male and you are feeling all vulnerable and sensitive. Start by taking care of yourself a bit more. Getting angry because of the system is not going to help you.’

Change the word White to Black or Female, and see how you get on at a BLM or Feminist rally.

Words taken from the author of White Fragility...

"Racism is what happens when you back one group's racial bias with legal authority and institutional control. ... When you back one group's collective bias with that kind of power, it is transformed into a far-reaching system. It becomes the default. It's automatic. It's not dependent on your agreement or belief or approval."

"Goodness me, cool story. As for the oppressor /oppressed paradigm that the condition of minorities has been framed in, it sounds like you believe there is no problem, so why the big reaction? Are you really defending yourself from a paradigm that frames a non-existent condition?"

Yes! As it shifts the native population into the role of the oppressor by labelling them as racist by default. And it seeks positive discrimination to improve the average condition of ethnic minorities in relation to the average condition of majority whites. It takes no account of their starting point in terms of class or family situation. The result is funds and opportunities are directed away from the neediest group: white working-class males, and directed to recent migrants. They are given a leg up into the middle-class over the heads of native born working-class.

So yes I am very keen to defend myself from that. Do youself a favour and read the report.

The Poles and Hungarians are reacting to totalitarian regimes which insisted that tolerance and equal opportunity for ethnic minorities, people of non-heteronormative orientation and women were standards of public policy?

"This government is in office because it has gained the votes of those reacting to the promotion of tolerance and equal opportunists for women and ethic minorities."

Not quite. It's reacting to the oppressor/oppressed paradigm that the condition of minorities has been framed in. The government report on ethnic minorities and institutional racism concluded that skin colour was not responsible for inequalities in this country but class and family background was.

That report was led by ethnic minorities themselves and was evidence-based. The oppressor/oppressed paradigm is based on theory (critical justice theory to be specific) and not an analysis of the facts.

The Hungarians and Poles have totalitarian regimes in the recent past based on a similar theory to what people are just starting to react against now. At least half the populations of those countries were born during them. They aren't stupid, they are more familiar than us with what is front of them.

This government is in office because it has gained the votes of those reacting to the promotion of tolerance and equal opportunists for women and ethic minorities. Thankfully, that promotion is going to continue as long as society in the UK is not like what we have in Hungary and Poland, where the pandering goes in a totally different direction, as you’ll have noticed from watching the recent Hungary vs France game in Budapest. It is a shame you like what you see there and hate what you have in the UK, but we’ve got over worse things in history.

Re: 1984 or Brave New World?
Brave New World is more a carrot society, 1984 more a stick society.

We’ve spent most our lives more in the Brave New World, where there is more of a semblance of freedom, so long as you consume: buy new, don’t repair, and of course cheer yourself up with some legal drugs if you’re feeling blue, and know your place and be happy with it, which we’re well raised to do so, on the whole.

Over consumption will now be discouraged, and the 1984 element, which we’ve had for some time, will grow more.

I think there are people who are educated and get muddle headed. They dont use much logic and dont see the World as it really is. These exist in all levels of society and Orwell identified them well. Just read Down and out or tiad to Wigan pier.
He also identified the ordinary folk who get caught up in the nonsense. Not stupid people. Just trying to get on.
Then there are the manipulators. They actually try and form the world as we find it. The laws. The structures. The rules and the common understandings.

If you agree with any of that you are already sucked into the system.

To be outside it is to be a little bit mad. You’ve got yo stand out. Its a dangerous place. People call you all kinds of names.

If you like being part of the crowd. Dont worry.you’ll be fine.

It's no wonder the.polls have been wrong for last few major elections people.dont want to speak up against the woke in case of getting abuse.

The majority have been silenced. But they have not gone away. And a lot of them are pissed off. Hence the red wall falling.

Re: 1984 or Brave New World?
I agree with equality

But by that definition is that people being treated the exact same. And I don't think we're too far shy of it in the UK. It's illegal to discriminate.

One problem we have is that there is an over correction and people are now finding problems that don't exist. And if you point that out you're hounded down as some sort of ist or phobe. Facts don't matter. You get hounded down and "cancelled"

People would have us believe that the uk is racist, sexist and intolerant of minorities, lgbt etc. When we're possibly one of the most tolerant and welcoming and fair nations in the world.

We're also pandering so that justice warriors Don't get offended on other people's behalf.

Uncomfortable conversations are now banned. And the Labour Party, once the bastion of the working class are now pandering to the Woking class Instead. Chasing twitter likes instead of votes of their heartland.
