Was just thinking is there ANYONE that the Wimbledon crowd would support Djokovic against?

Federer? Ooh , its Roger
Nadal? Ah, its Rafa
Draper? He is English
The Pole in the semi final? But he is the underdog
Berretini? What, the good looking Italian

Maybe (MAYBE) 50/50 if Ian Huntley or Fred West made it to the second Sunday

It really must grate Djokovic that Federer and Nadal seem to be loved more by the crowds. Shock could be on the cards here!

Re: .. The Championships, Wimbledon, 2021
Apart from the Barmy Army obviously

Said a couple of years ago that Djokovic had a window to clean up some Grand Slams with Federer ageing (remarkable that he is still competing as he turns 40 shortly) & Nadal & Murray creaking to a halt with injury.
That window exists as none of the next generation are making a credible sustained challenge.

Shapovalov, Berretini & Hurkacz have a chance to start to change that.
Never heard of Hurkacz before but seems he is a 24yo POLE. That said he is listed as resident in Monte Carlo so its another triumph for tennis in MONACO.

"You've conceded that she was struggling physically when the match was level."

No, I have never conceded that - that's one of your oft-repeated tactics of trying to claim something that nobody has said. Quite the opposite - I said her problem was mental, not physical. That, as you well know, was the fucking point all along.

You really are beginning to come across as just plain stupid, fella.

Still, let's leave it there - as tomorrow is another day. For this shit!

Re: .. The Championships, Wimbledon, 2021
Two posters have a spat because they more or less have opposite opinions. Fair dos but they both seemed insecure over letting one another have the last word.

When another poster though calls the likes of Andy Murray a quitter it beggars belief. Murray has striven with might and mane throughout his career to match up to the top three. Injury has done for him at the top level but three slams, two Olympic golds and a Davis Cup win is not to be sneered at. And as for quitting where does avoiding slams to save yourself for later register with us. Federer missed Paris, Nadal drops out from Wimbledon and people accept it but a young girl fails to finish a match and odd people are doing their best to denigrate and find fault right at the beginning of her career.
