Re: HMRC
There are currently over 400 HMRC staff who are working from home and do not have access to all data bases.

That's the problem

Taxpayer (that's you, that is) funded box-ticking.

Whether or not the person employed can actually do the job asked of them is of minor importance.

Re: HMRC
Also called a couple of times before and they obviously have moved their offices to Scotland because both times I got some sweaty Glaswegian who I couldn't understand and asked him a couple of times to repeat what he said and still couldn't understand it became embarrassing, I just said ok that I'll call back later. Absolute joke at least you can understand the Indian call centres, another level them jocks.

Re: HMRC
They are in absolute DISARRAY at the moment.

Even the agent-dedicated lines are largely staffed by incompetent simpletons. Pre-covid you would just hang up when you got through to an arsehole and try again in the hope of getting someone sensible. However, now it takes the best part of an hour to get through even on agent lines.

I have got a good 20 clients whose rebates haven't been released despite their returns being submitted in early April.

No other organisation is blaming covid more than HMRC at the moment.

Re: HMRC
Agreed. When I started my six figure contract a while back they seriously tried to fuck me until I finally knocked some heads. Their customer service is abysmal and seems to be a deliberate ploy to obfuscate and delay.

A total bunch of cunts.
