Stirling Albion 4-0 Cowdenbeath

A bad day at the office for Cowdenbeath saw them return to the foot of the table on goal difference.

Stirling took the lead in the 7th minute with Jack Leitch beating Cammy Gill to the ball and then being first to react when his header came back off the bar.

Dylan Mackin should have made it 2-0 in the 28th minute but headed wide when left unmarked from a corner. Mackin did however get on the scoresheet to put his side two up at the break, finishing off Leitch's ball across.

The Blue Brazil started the second half the better of the two sides but two late goals made the win more comfortable for The Binos.

Substitutes Dale Carrick and Sean Heaver added the third and fourth goals in the 82nd and 89th minute respectively.

The visitors have now gone 7 games without a victory.

I can barely look but suspect its Kelty Tarts

Long way to go yet, lot of trialists still finding their feet and bread and butter games to come.

Let's see how they all get on in the Tuesday night games in sleet.

That'll give a truer reflection of things.

+1.5 in the Asian handicaps for the away win.

That equaliser last week probably ruffled a few feathers, cheeky away win today and peop!e will have to sit up and take notice.

In a way it's good that the MSM haven't gone overboard, keep it under the radar.

Here we go.

Maybe this Civil Service mob are from the Barclays walking football adverts and have found themselves in the wrong tournament.

They might struggle with the pace of the game.

You're right. Why would anybody with a sane mind call their football club 'strollers'?

What sort of impression is that trying to give off? It's like it's a guise for something else, or worse still two fingers up to the SFA and the game as a whole.

I'm not comfortable with the name "Civil Service Strollers" for a football club.

It sounds a bit sinister, or at least unsavoury.

I don't like it.

They shouldn't even be in the league with a name like that.

Let's just say "the tortoise and the hare"...

Few TRIALISTS who will making their mark soon.

Cowdenbeath 1-1 Forfar Athletic

A stunning Craig Thomson free kick rescued a point for Cowdenbeath who ended their run of four straight defeats.

The Loons took the lead in the 24th minute when Matthew Aitken headed in Luke Strachan's cross from the left.

But The Blue Brazil came out fighting in the second half and got a deserved equaliser eight minutes from time. The lively substitute Harvey Swann was fouled 30 yards from goal and Craig Thomson stepped up and netted an unstoppable free kick into the top left hand corner.

The point lifts Gary Bollan's side off the foot of the table on goal difference with Forfar climbing into the top 4.

TEAM : Gill, Mullen (Swann), Thomson, Todd, C Barr, Coulson (B Barr), R Buchanan, Hutton, Renton (Mahady), L Buchanan, Clarke

SUBS NOT USED : Miller, Pollock, McGurn, Trialist, Watson

NEXT UP : An away day to Forthbank to take on Stirling Albion on Saturday 25th September.
