RIP Dave Dunmore
Most on here may not remember him but he, played one season 1960-61, scored a goal at one of my first real away games - Fulham (1-1). He left for the Orient don't know why as he was a half-decent center-forward.

May he Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory

I was over the O’s today, and they had a minutes applause for him, which was nice. One of the Spurs bench actually told the players who were watching in the stand to get up, so well done for that.

Not a name I recall anyone mentioning in the home pre-match banter of the mid/late 1960s, but RIP, whatever.

Dunmore left for the Orient in a swap deal for Alan Sealey. Then Greenwood signed Budgie Byrne from Palace the following season, leading to 1964 FA cup win,1965 Cup Winners cup win when Sealey became a legend, then 1966 West Ham won the World Cup,and Bobby Moore became a legend.
It was all written in the stars as Greenwood had the vision to see all this when he got rid of Dunmore. Simple innit.

I once saw Dunmore score for Spurs in a pre season game against Barking at the erstwhile Vicarage Field.
