Seems a strange way to do things.
What happens next season ... do counties go back into their previous divisions?

Being voted on next week. Seems the conference system will be voted in again. Smaller counties feel they are more able to compete, under the conference arrangements.

In better news the SHEFFIELD SHIELD has started today.

Usman KHAWAJA is a cricketer so doubt he has an interest or expertise in Rugby league so probably sticks to the sport he knows.
I see England cancelled going to Bangladesh & Pakistan due to unspecified threats yet when specific threats were made to the NZ Womens team (probably by a disgruntled Pakistani) the tour of England has carried on regardless.

Did I miss something?
Why exactly are Essex playing in Division 2?
Thought they won Division One

They did.

At the start of this season the counties were split into 3 conferences. After 10 games, the top 2 in each went into Division one, next two in each to division two, etc.

Don't ask me to explain the format.

I see Usman Khawaja has had a go at England and NZ for cancelling Pakistan tours.

Presumably, he will be doing the same and having a go at The Australian rugby league team, for not travelling to the world cup.

Nice bit of cheating from the 3rd umpire in the birds game purely to keep the Oz winning run going.

I see the Australian PM (Morrison ... possibly as big a cunt as Boris Johnson) is saying there wont be any special treatment for families of the England players in entering Australia during the upcoming Ashes.
Also talk that because of some of the border closures between states in might not be feasible to play the Tests in their usual order (Brisbane Adelaide Perth Melbourne Sydney) and multiple Tests might be scheduled in the same cities.
To be honest rather than have this half arsed version I am now leaning towards postponing the whole thing til November 2022.

I make that 1 wicket in less than 15 mins on average over the course of the game!!

40 wickets in less than 4 sessions must be some sort of record

I see Don Root (grandfather of Joe) wrote a letter to the Cricketer magazine comparing The Hundred to COVID
A tasteless analogy that should be condemned by all.

I've enjoyed Michael Holding's commentary but agree its time for him to go.
David Lloyd should join him.
Most of the others .. Hussain, Atherton especially are excellent. As is Warne though he does waffle too much ...and Keys though he sometimes reveals why his personality made him unsuitable to be a serious Test cricketer.
Dinesh Karthik was a real find and should be offered a permanent job.
Mel Jones is also very good but given she was born in England but supports Australia is obviously UNACCEPTABLE.

Won't miss him at all, to be honest.

I like Keys, Hussain, Strauss, Warne, they all get technical issues across without any problem, with enthusiasm, and stay interesting. Holding isn't in that class.

I like Michael Holding if only for "That Over"

I liked Michael Holding, but absolutely the right time for him to go.

For the last few years he's come over and been far more interested in horse racing than what he was being paid to do.

I like Michael Holding. I like his passion for the game, his insights, descriptions and infectious enthusiasm. And if I was black, and for that reason above any other, I'd also probably be in favour of BLM.

Maybe you can avoid shitting your pants every time a woman or black person is on TV?

Re: England v India Test match series
So you don’t think he has jumped on the BLM bandwagon in the last 2 years? How many short films has he made about his struggles? Yes 3/4 years ago Sky made a film about his life and visited his family and home and not one word about racism? What has changed in 2 years?

But you go on believing “ his truth “ , maybe you can do it whilst you are on your knee.

Stupid fucking prick.
