The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
More Climate change nonsense being spouted around again, people really think we have control of mother nature?

IPCC reckon we're already seeing the damaging effects of human caused climate change and global warming.

Are you scared? Should we be scared?

A load of fucking bollocks if you ask me.

Record temperature yesterday 48.8 degrees. Since 1977 which was 48 degrees. So in 48 years it has gone up 0.8 degrees. Oh dear get rid of cars planes and central heating

I used to know this stuff forty odd years ago.
Remember deriving p=1/3nMc2 for A-Level.
One piece of knowledge of many that has been booted out over time.

Late, but as I predicted.

HOWEVER

People dying of heat doesn't seem to be a crisis-monger issue yet. Soon come.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
EVERYBODY DIES

heat can be a factor. But only one of many but old people tend go die more than younger people.

Fucking odd old world.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
I assume that's a joke.

Because an area of CO2 is not a volume of CO2 without a depth, and not a mass of CO2 without a depth and a density.

The absence of my sides splitting means I have to resort to logic to determine it's a joke.

Once they tell me 'CO2 of an area the size of Belgium', I'll start paying attention thank you.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
"Best estimates" [for rio's case] "suggest human contribution to this is less than 3% of the 0.04% = 0.0012, the other 97% is natural (volcanoes etc)".

Not sure where that 3% comes from, but even if valid, it is the low end of a range which goes up to 30% or beyond.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
Has BRANDED been on here to say that most of the people dying in extreme heat events are old, or have underlying health problems, so these events don't matter?

1/400 of an Olympic swimming pool. Probably. Modulo 4/5 of a bottle of wine.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
Enough of this nonsense.

The tradtional measures are London buses, Olympic swimming pools or Wales.

A tonne* of dry ice has roughly (it depends on temperature) the volume of 16,000 snickers bars.

What does a ton of C02 look like in terms of everyday objects, like, say, Snickers or Datsun Sunnys?

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
Pushing the non-sequitur "it is small, therefore its effect is small" makes people look like frauds.

Just carry on.

Being a cunt is a qualification for posting on here Capitol, shoving narco in your body isn't. But let's not judge people.

Ag ag ag - what a cunt you are Rios.

Re: The Worlds Coming to an end(apparently)
C02 is approximately 0.04% of atmosphere (estimated).

Best estimates suggest human contribution to this is less than 3% of the 0.04% = 0.0012, the other 97% is natural (volcanoes etc)

The UK is estimated to be responsible for 1% of 3% of 0.04% = 0.000012%

Its an emergency

"Co2 is about 2% of the atmosphere, FYI."

Only out by a factor of 500.

Please don't give me any more information.
