It is bad to only really want a real fry up for dinner/supper.

Mostly I want do something with my day without feeling I am carrying the weight of the world in my gut.

Beans... I still like them - plus it's important to get a bit of moisture into a fry up... I don't particularly like to be stuck on a toilet for longer than is absolutely necessary trying to push out a cactus plant which simply won't shift

Re: Your greasy spoon / best fry ups in London recommendations please
My preference is...

Bacon, Egg, Sausages, Fried Tomatoes and Beans. I like black pudding and mushrooms but NOT on a fry up. Chips on a breakfast plate are for heathen.

Doorstep toast with proper butter...pot of tea.

Frank's on Southwark Street around the corner from Blackfriars is still pretty authentic đź‘Ś

Although not a fan of hash browns, I have to admit that when in the States they offer home fries, I'm in.

Anyone remember the fine purveyors half way down Tunmarsh Lane, on the left from the Lonsdale end?

Still recall the day my dad, God bless him, first took me for 'a proper breaky'

They had the plastic red and brown sauce dispensers, check table cloths, half length net curtains and a permanent pea souper from all the fags

Outstanding place

I had Hash Browns for the forst time back in 1996 in a Dallas hotel. Ain't nothing like Mc D. They are diced potatoes, I think pan fried, with peppers and spices.

De Vere Latimer....you made that up. That's the guy To The Manor Born :-)

The Michael Collins Pub Bxl did an excellent "Full Irish" which included white pudding as well as the black.

Yep, used to get a cudgel in Nicos, Bethnal Green.
Another quality Set-1 was in Nickys (Muuzzys) Cafe, Well street. (Cockney Raymond Burke run cafe. Good people).

And Crassus 7:33 has cracked it. (Along with the eggs)

Bit like saying best Maccy D’s or best pint of srtongbow????
No it’s not if you’re referring to best McDonald’s there’s no such thing it’s all shit, and the same goes for a pint of strongbow that does the trick on a hot day when there’s fuck all else but it’s crap cider there’s loads miles better.
A good Full English Breakfast is something to be proud of its part of our heritage we’re known with envy world wide. Some are bang average and some are out fucking standing. When you’re in the mood or going on the piss all day nothing beats a quality Full English.

Althogh im not a big sauce fan myself, i do like to see the old style tomato ketchup bottle that is actually in the shape of a red tomato and sounds like a runny fart when you squeze it.
Some low end establishments have also been known to water the sauces down.

After 11 you’re starting to get into liver and bacon territory in old style cafes which is right up my street

The only potato based product on a breakfast is bubble.chips and hash fucking browns are imposters and have no place on an a breakfast plate.

Re: Your greasy spoon / best fry ups in London recommendations please
Beans in a fancy bucket are wrong, all wrong

On a point of principle I empty the buggers upon the plate, in line with my deployment rules - the pot fit for nothing but the post scoff smoke proceeds to illustrate the point

Re: Your greasy spoon / best fry ups in London recommendations please
Black pudding (unless of course you’re a bender) is essential on a breakfast and white pudding (cloanakilty)tinned tomatoes are a must along with baked beans on a plate(no ramekins bollocks) and brown sauce only, none of this ketchup chink muck that cunts spread over everything fucking thing.
Along with the normal staples(no fucking chips)and a mug of sugary Yorkshire tea .

Re: Your greasy spoon / best fry ups in London recommendations please
A nice bit if bubble always sets the full english of well.
Black pudding i can take or leave.
The current trend of baked beans in a seperate small pot a pet hate of mine & somewhat akin to the half and half scarf bollocks
