Masuaka off?
FootballNewsWestAfrica
@FNewsWestAfrica
Fenerbahce and the management of Arthur Masuaku reachaed an agreement. Turkish side is now working to get a free space for a non-turkish player, West Ham and the player side are waiting. Transfer can be official the next 48 hours

If we’d signed tagliafico I could understand this, otherwise doesn’t make sense.

Re: Masuaka off?
Lets face it Cresswell went off the boil when we had a poor slow midfield and a winger in front of him that did no tracking back. He's always had good delivery and although he doesnt have pace to beat a man he is able to get forward now and create knowing he isnt so exposed.
Masuaku is the next Reid. I think he has an issue that will restrict his availability. If thats the case and a team comes in with decent money then we should take it and invest in Jan. If there is no underlying issue then I see him still being useful.

Not suprised he is going to Turkey they have long argued that Masuaka is one of theirs despite the Greeks claiming it as their own. Although the greek version has white sauce in it.

Re: Masuaka off?
Not having him clearly limits us tactically.
If we want to play 5 at the back he's always gonna be first choice LWB (if fit).

Not having him almost takes that option off the table unless Johnson fills in - and having a right footer at LWB never seemed to work for us.

Or maybe it's all nonsense and he's going nowhere.

Re: Masuaka off?
What I like about this site is everyone knows more than the manager! Even when the manager is successful as well!

Moyes said he was a big part of our plans and he had to rearrange how we played because he was missing.

If it’s alright with everyone I’d rather take his word for it than yours!

Re: Masuaka off?
Arthur had that spell where he did some magic trickery and was filling opposition defenders left, right and centre.

It was a short spell and what has followed has been a a level that simmers at just below mediocrity.

I'm hoping this happens now, don't look like he will be missed by anyone. Got a feeling we are stuck with him though. Another one that got a long contract that shouldn't have.

Re: Masuaka off?
"my record on here is pretty good.

Wanted Moyes back when everyone said he'd be shit.
Wanted Haller gone when everyone said it was best to stick
Said we should play Arthur further up and Creswell behind (Moyes did it and its probably the best football we've ever played),
Advocated for Antonio to be our striker when everyone said no
Said Hernandez was shit when everyone kept saying give him time"

they (THEY) got rid of moyes first time round, not everyone
the people who questioned haller going knew he wouldn't be replaced, not because they thought he was uniquely talented
most know arthur can't cross a ball, so why would you have him out wide. we've played better since he was injured
people said no initially to antonio playing through the middle, because again it allowed the penny pinching owners to not strengthen the squad
he wasn't shit, he just didn't like playing as a lone striker

Re: Masuaka off?
I rate Fredericks a better player.
That will tell you how shit I think Masuaku is.
Nearly always injured and doesn't score.
I count it at as one assist in about 3 years and that was a lucky miss kick.
Will not be missed one iota. To many think he's any good. He's not enables a better player to be on the bench or come through the U23's such as Longelo.

Nah let's have it straight, respect is due, Andy never lies and is a very, very clever bloke
He has multiple degrees and even gained one from a university that does not even run the course
True that, he said so on here

It makes me laugh when posters pronounce themselves right - especially when you claim to have been right about Brexit...

You were solidly against it and were wrong!

It’s all in the records on the site.
Not lying about any of it at all.
I just know what I’m talking about :-)

Re: Masuaka off?
Cresswell has never been 'woeful'. He had a couple of seasons when he was a bit average. Not bad for a bloke who has been here for about 8 years now.

Andy always does this - wildly exaggerates in order to make his argument seem stronger.
