Spurs Chelsea first net zero carbon (vegan only food) football match
The worlds gone mad:

Fans will be urged to travel to the stadium via bicycle or public transport and eat only vegan food when Spurs host Chelsea in the Premier League on 19 September.

It is part of a plan to make the game the world's first net zero carbon fixture at elite level.

Both sets of players will arrive at the stadium on coaches powered by biofuel, and will be drinking water from more sustainable cartons rather than plastic bottles.

Food kiosks inside the stadium will also be offering a large selection of plant-based food options so fans can make a more sustainable choice.

I am so glad we are not involved in this.

The other thing to note is that WHO is actually doing it's bit for carbon neutrality.

Every single bit of bullshit typed is one that isnt escaping from a WHOers mouth as methane.

Take a bow WHO, be proud.

What people eat, what people drink, how people travel and what in has changed for the last 100 years when attending football. No reason not to change again.

They are literally killing this world and its traditions.
Man made the pyramids and women cooked us dinner when we got home.

My issue is this. All the bullied and set upon nerds are now computer literate and they rule the world. Their narrative is stronger.
That's what woke is. It's a slap In the face for the bully bricklayer.

This story is mental. It's not football.

Plant based food makes you guff more, thus leading to more methane, warming up the planet.

According to Dave A, blue planet bloke.

Completely agree. I've been going for 60 years now and of all the hundreds of matches I've attended I have never eaten anything; except on two occassions.
And each time I'd been invited to watch in a box, once at WHL and once at the Boleyn. And the food was pretty pony.

Like you said why would anyone be unable to go without food for under two hours.

Agree on that, sleep patterns and quality of sleep.

The time they train (Physically) though is of benefit.

Dean Smith doesn't strike me as a fool who will cave in to his players, so I'd say either there is more to the story or he has his reasons.

Not so sure about that MPI!

From a physiological aspect it also makes more sense to sleep at night time, and preferably get sleep before the small hours for optimal repair and regeneration.

Watching screens and being hyped playing games just before bed is also physiologically not great for the body either i would guess....

Surely they can play their games at a more reasonable hour, but then again who really gives a fuck what Villa players do, I just thought it crazy that the manager has caved in to the fact they do it, who calls the shots????? I always thought the manager was in charge!

Agree that it is spoiling the players but there isn't actually a downside either: They are training at a time much nearer to when they are a playing matches and they aren't travelling at peak time.

It actually makes some sense.

Don't understand why people can't go for 90 mins without food in the first place, hardly going to starve, it's just gluttony.
I go to football to watch football not to fucking eat, it's overpriced crap in any case! Been going for 50 years and never bought food at a game.
Beer or a hot drink is a different matter.

Sven,

Agree there is some logic to training at the same time as the games but the problem these days is that the games are rarely at 3pm any more.

I expect they do some afternoon drills or have training matched but if you are playing between 40-50 games a season then this should be a enough for any player to get used to playing at these times.

Re: Spurs Chelsea first net zero carbon (vegan only food) football match
I've always thought players should train at the time period covered by their next game .... ie 3pm or 7.45pm ... to get used to being active at that time.

Are Spurs going to provide chilled water fountains in the stadium so people can fill bottles or still sell plastic bottles of water at stupid prices?
Can you imagine this game ...
60,000 Spurs & Chelsea fans to start with
Then add 60,000 bean burgers inside the fat cunts
The smell! HONKING!

It is all getting a bit fucked up, not just shit like this but i was reading that Aston Villa are now starting training later in the day so players can stay up late and play video games...........FFS, bunch of spoilt little wankers!
