Favourite all time Hammer
So over the years we’ve had some great players, who is your all time hammer.

There’s Ron Greenwood and John Lyall who have to be considered.

Then we have the likes of BObby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.

Hard to ignore Billy Bonds, Alvin Martin, Trevor Brooking, Alan Devonshire, Julian Ducks and Pop Robson.

More recently we ha DiCanio and of course Payer and of course Noble has been a loyal servant.

Fir me it is Billy bonds, always loved his game. A great Captain and example on and off the pitch, not a bad manager too.

So who is yours and why?

Aside from mad dog, my other favourites are dicanio, dicks, and bonzo.

Bit of a soft spot for George parris too. Took no shit from. What I've heard

Bonzo for me. I just loved the way he got stuck in regardless of the various positions he played for the club.

Re: Favorite all time Hammer
My sentimental favourite is probably McAvennie.
But also Brooking and Di Canio for slightly different reasons.
Always had a bit of ill feeling towards TC for leaving us when he did. He would have been up there with the others if he stayed.

Di Canio all day long.

Special mention for Cottee, MacAvennie, Morley, Mark Robson, Bilic, Ferdinand, Berkovic and Scott Parker.

This question was worded wrong. It should have said,

‘Apart from Trevor Brooking, who is your favourite all time Hammer’.

I think that’s what the people who said someone else must have thought you meant in your original post.

Re: Favorite all time Hammer
So many to choose from as mentioned but for me it has to be Billy Bonds. Passion, commitment, desire etc., etc . The man was a machine unbelievable that he was still playing in the first division at the age of 42

Manuel..I'll be willing to bet he was one of the idiots who thought it a good idea to recall Gavin Newsom. How did that go? Cost the state nearly 300 million. Mind you, if the Republicans could only come up with Larry 'I hate my colour' Elder what were they expecting?
